I was afraid to buy this paddle because it didn't have any reviews but I am very happy I did. It is basically the same as a paddle you can pay a lot more for at an outdoor store. The only problem is that the drip rings aren't great but otherwise it is a great paddle.
I used the paddle today and it worked real well. It is lighter and longer than my original paddle and I am real happy with it. The only problem I had was trying to get it toghether and back apart. When I got home I took some seelwol and rubbed the male end for about 15 minutes and now it works fine.
I had a credit to use at OS, so used it to purchase this paddle. Husband & I just purchased kayaks and are new to the sport. Tho I am a novice, I liked the paddle for it light weight and seemed to be appropriate length for me (5'3" 109 lbs with Pelican Maverick 100x kayak). Only problem I had was with changing the positions or taking the paddle apart. Compared to the cheaper paddle my husband got at Dicks, mine is a great deal harder to get apart or turn as the pin does not slip in and out very easily whereas his works very smoothly. My husband usually just does it for me-problem solved, unless no one is around, but don't foresee that happening, so I'm happy with my purchase.
