The gray color is true to color, These are so comfortable and if you have priced around you know that they are priced very well too. My last ones left rust stains on my pool deck so I was very happy to see the rubber coating on the frame of these.
This is our first experience with Lafuma chairs and so far we are thrilled. Comfortable, good engineering. Only time will tell if they will last, but manufacturing quality and materials indicate they will, plus there's a two year warranty, so that should be a good indicator Lafuma stands by their product. AND they aren't made in China, but actually France, so I am confident these aren't churned out in some factory full of low paid labor, using the poorest quality materials, seeking only to make a quick buck. All of the cheaper brands had reviews that talked about rust, poor mechanisms to lock in position and fabrics tearing. You get what you pay for and Lafuma is costlier, but better value in the end. UPDATE: After many hours of use these chairs are still comfortable and in excellent shape. The only issue is one attachment of the mesh near the back towards the seat detached itself, can be reattached easily, but then it slides of again, but honestly that does not seem to be an fatal issue. All other clips are stable and keep the mesh attached to the frame.
It is light weight for the size..the shell is resistant to water vapor over nite...the lining is soft and material cotton like instead of that hot sticky misable synthetic plastic junk...it's big enough to climb in SEAL it off and move around sitting up.I can watch tv eat my dinner and play under my light while just in my shorts in freezing weather and still have to have an opening to let out the heat which is good for a smoke attack while enjoying a cig..no more being stuck on my back with nothing to do....I've done this for a long time so when I say it's a good Wigan believe it....
