I have used this item for the last 3+ years and love it! It is great mid-layer under a jacket or by itself on the not so cold days. I wear it so much my wife calls it my "modern day Mr. Rogers sweater". I love this item and wear it almost daily!
Was going to Green Bay Wisconsin to see a Packer game and needed to be warm. It was -2 degrees on game day and these kept me warm. I love them! I several light and medium weight wool thermals and had been looking for heavier ones. These are absolutely the answer to my search. I float tube fish in the winter and ski in very cold conditions and these will be much better than the synthetic ones I now use. Only one negative is that they run short. I am 6'1" and got the large, and they are a bit short. I hate to see how short they will be after I wash and dry them, even though I will do that in the cold setting.
I would recommend it but wouldn't admit to it haha..I am so tired of the USA not making these merino thermals.Only a handful of companies and sell at high prices. So it forces us true blue americans to feel like a traitor....I bought these at great sale prices and pretend that they are made in USA......
Purchased one of these as a gift for my husband this Christmas. Since then, it's been worn and washed a several times, using our machines "normal" warm/cold cycle and then air dried it. It washes wonderfully and is still like new. My husband spends a great deal of time working and playing outdoors and loves this shirt....it's great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another!
I live in Florida and bought these seeks prior to a hiking trip in the mountains. When we arrived in the mountains, there was still snow everywhere. The socks were warm and my feet never got cold no matter how long we hiked in the snow. These are a great buy for the money.
This my fifth purchase, although they're not crew neck as another reviewer wrote they are more like a cow neck so you want to wear something under it. This morning I wore it under my coat in 20 degree cold and felt toasty warm . That being said, I love how warm and comfy they are and wash very well. I now own 3 of the bottoms and 6 tops in both colors I hope they make more colors as winter cold is really just starting here in NY. Also , I wear hem to sleep in and around the house.. going to buy a couple for family
The shirt is 100% Merino. Made in China. It is soft, breaths well and wicks moisture away well. Only complaint is that it is about one sixe too small. I got an XL and it is tighter and shorter in the arms and body then any other XL shirt I have.
I bought this fleece for my boyfriend and it looks great on him. It's casual but still sharp enough to wear to work with khakis or jeans. The only complaint would be that it's like a giant lint brush - it picks up everything -- and against black, it's very obvious. He said it was comfortable.
Bought as a base layer for biking. (To the prior reviewer-- it is supposed to be light fabric!) Fabric slightly scratchy but not bad/liveable. M fits me pretty well-- maybe the arms are slightly short, especially for riding down on the drops. I'm 6' 160 lbs, 34" shirt sleeve. Price way better than similar **- *** items elsewhere. Haven't hit the road yet with it but am ordering one for my son as well. Will be good for outdoors/skiing as well.
Anchor your daily look with men's base layer pieces from Overstock.com. These staples keep you warm and serve as the basis for a layered look. Lightweight long-sleeved and short-sleeved T-shirts work on their own as casual tops, or you can put them underneath a button-up shirt. Base layer bottoms stay snugly against the legs, so they fit under a second pair of pants without looking bulky or feeling uncomfortable. Choose a thermal underwear option for optimal warmth when your day entails time outdoors in frigid temperatures. Waterproof or sweat-wicking base layer pieces keep your skin dry, helping you maintain a comfortable temperature, reducing chafing, and making you feel more comfortable overall. Wool socks round out your base layer, keeping your feet warm and dry. Stock up on base layer tops and bottoms for an easy foundation to your wardrobe.
Silk Weight Thermal bottos
This thermal bottom was very comfotable and helped as an additional layer in cold weather.
Warm but not too warm
Bought this for my son in law that works outdoors. He loves the soft extra layer without having to worry about getting overheated.
average quality at a low price
I bought these because many men's garments are too big and my son is quite lean. He sleeps in them & is happy with them.
Cold weather base layer
I bought these to use as a base layer when hunting in cold weather. They performed better than I hoped. Size was right, they did not shrink and are extremely warm.
