The Stack Home Gym itself is a good product for a Home Gym System -- However, the packaging is VERY poor resulting in MANY scratches, dents, and damaged products. A few of the pieces had to be modified in order for them to work properly. Marcy needs to COMPLETELY reconsider how they package their products...
I love this Marcy home gym. I no longer need to go to the gym and wait in line to use equipments. I place this home gym right in my garage. Fits perfectly. It looks well made and clean. I use it everyday when I feel like it. Full body workout in the convenience of your home. Keep it up Marcy. I love your products and great prices.
It is an ok machine, a bit small for tall people, I am 6'3 and range of motion is an issue. Chest press exercise is excellent, butterfly is good. Forget leg curls/ developer workout if you're tall. When I put my legs over the cushions I reach the floor. This machine is good for upper body workout not so much for lower if you're tall.
This has been a really good addition to my home gym. Easy to use, quick transition between exercises, able to work most all muscle groups. I was concerned about the condition it would arrive in because many other reviews say it arrived damaged. I talked to Overstock on chat and I was assured that if anything arrived damaged they would immediately send a replacement part. The boxes arrived pretty beat up, but nothing was really damaged. I will say that the packaging is inadequate. Some pieces were kind of scraped up, but nothing worth worrying about. The individual metal pieces are packaged in thin poly bagging, but that isn't going to keep them from rubbing on each other and knocking off some paint. The worst part is that the stack cover is in the bottom of the box with all the other metal pieces on top (the weights are sent separately), so it will get dented. Mine has one dent and the top had a pretty bad chunk taken out of it but I fixed it with pliers and there is a plastic cover that goes over the top and bottom edges so you can't see it anyway. The instructions are kind of difficult, mostly because there are a few pieces that are already put together but shown as separate parts. Mostly these are plastic inserts that go in the ends of tubes or handle covers, but I spent a lot of time looking for separate parts that I didn't realize had come already put together. I did have to make a few modifications: 1. The front feet out on the end were bent upwards like wings. I had to hammer them back so the bottom edges were flat on the ground with a rubber mallet. 2. I added padded grips to the bench press curved handles and replaced the bar grips with better ones. 3. The seat isn't tall enough for me (I'm 5 11 but have long legs and shorter torso), so I added some spacers under the seat to raise it up a little more than an inch. I also stuffed a rolled up pillow in the gap under the backrest so I have something where my tailbone sits. 4. I bought a separate short straight bar and connecting chain/hardware for curls on the low pulley. The bent bar wasn't working well for those exercises. So overall I rate it as good. Could be a little better, mostly in packing and setup, but certainly a good purchase and worth the money. An adjustable seat and an additional straight bar would certainly make it a 5-star product.
every morning do body weight stay healthy before eat right stay happy healthy. I'm 67 year old hahaha I work all the time mower cut grass
good basic home gym for family; needed something for growing kids and family to get more exercise; took husband about 4 or so hours to put together but he did it over a couple of days and did not complain about any extreme difficulty; as others mentioned the product came a little banged up, but no broken weights or anything, just a slight ding in the panel that has demo pictures of the exercises you can do with the machine and it was really minor and we did not feel the need to pursue a replacement; however, the product pictures do show a short pull bar (about 16 inches on a chain) that one can attach to the pulley under the leg lift for doing arm curls and we did not receive it so we will be contacting Overstock or Marcy to see about getting that piece sent. Overall, good machine but will not feel as solid as professional gym equipment but does not feel like a cheap *** set either; for the price we were very pleased and expect to get a lot of use from this.
Love this machine great chest shoulders and legs exercises the long string kept coming off one of the top roller but that was because I did adjust the tension but once I figured that out it has not happen to again.
Im 6.2 and works great it took 2 people 2 hours to put together had 1 weight came broke but overstock got me a new one 2 thumbs up
This a compact but nice full home gym. It has everything you need to do a full body workout. I bought a cple extra attachments for some specific exercises I was alittle worried about the weight not beong enough but it is plenty. Has 14 plates and I'm 6'2" 210lbs and I get a good workout doing 10 reps 3 sets on like a 5/6 plate setting. So obviously there's plenty of weight. The pulley system makes it weigh alot more then ud think. Fairly easy to set up took me about 6 hours. The instructions are just pics. But it's not hard to figure out. The frame is a little crooked which is annoying but it doesn't affect the function. Mine came packaged nice in 3 boxes one for the frame and 2 for the plates. No damage at all. Good gym over all. Would recommend it
Had to get weights replaced as they arrived cracked, but overstock was quick to replace them with weights in perfect condition.
This home gym does everything we need and is the perfect addition to our home exercise room.
Great piece of equipment. The seat position is a little awkward when doing certain exercises, but that isn't enough to keep me from using it. There are more exercise options available than the ones listed on the gym, but you need to purchase the proper equipment separately (tricep rope, rotating short bar, low pulley bar, etc.). Didn't have an issue with missing parts, but there was slight damage from shipping although it's cosmetic. Two of us worked to put it together and completed assembly in a little under three hours. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.
This home gym is great. Perfect for my garage space in order to get a great home workout versus going to the gym. This with my other equipment is perfect. It has several exercises to build muscles in different areas.
Great unit. I am 6'2" and the exercise range is fine. For anyone taller it might be difficult. There is no changing of pulleys required, the install footprint is compact, and the unit operates quietly.
My husband loved it.. There may only be 150 lbs on back and 14 levels to put pin in my husband couldn’t even go past the level 3 the resistance has more weight. Very nice and the price was great..
This Stack gym trainer was what the doctor ordered! It took me three days to put it together but it was worth it. All the parts were their down to the last nut and bolt. I like the upright workout better than laying down on my back. The materials are good quality and no squeaking parts! Man I wish I had this set twenty years ago. Thanks.
I cannot rave about this home gym enough! I have it set up in my bedroom, and it's perfect in the corner of my room. I get workouts in while watching videos or listening to audio books, and it's all in the comfort of my home. It's amazing quality, and I highly recommend it!
Its more compact so if you are using the pull down feature, the stack has a tendency to get stuck. You really have to be a smaller person to use to get full range of motion. If you are over 5'10, get something bigger. Works for me though. Quality and very durable. It is very well made.
More than satisfied with my purchase. I was surprised how smooth the weights glide with the pulley system. I am 6’1” and I would say any taller and you might have issues with not being able to get a full extension with the lat pull down (or if you have long arms). Packaged well, no damage at all. Super fast shipping received item in 2 days. Overall pretty easy to assemble (you will need some common sense), took about four hours to put together with the help of my wife.
This is a great deal. Not perfect for taller guys (I'm 6'3") as you will not get full extension on the lat bar for example, but regardless, there are ways to work every muscle with this machine if you're at all creative. It seems well built and I expect it will last a long time. Great value. Way better than blowing money on a gym membership. Use it way more frequently b/c it's in the convenience of your home.
