I use it to releave lower back tension after physical activity. Being 240 lbs. I found it put a lot of pressure on the tops of my foot ant back of my ankles when not wearing shoes.
we've been looking at these for a long time, but really thought the prices were to high. When we saw this and the rating- we figured it was time to buy 1, and we are THRILLED with it. LOVE IT!!
I was a little concerned since the price was so low, but the quality and durability is top notch. It was fairly easy to set up. Before buying this model, I tried my friends inversion table which cost him *** through his Chiropractor. This model (Ironman Gravity 1000) is just as good for a lot less money!
I put this thing together in about 30-45 minutes. It's really well built and very sturdy. It folds up and stores away nicely as well. It is pretty heavy (about 80-90 lbs) and a little awkward to move, but overall, the construction and sturdiness of this thing is top notch. After I got it together I started playing around with it to find the balance point for my height and weight and found that it worked best if I set it an inch taller than what I actually am. I can lay back on the table and slowly raise my arms to invert at a controlled pace without feeling like I'm on an amusement park ride. Once I got used to it I set it up ti tilt back at about a 45 degree angle and the next morning I woke up feeling better than I have in months. If you back is hurting, this will help relieve a lot of pain, although it isn't immediate relief. I find if I use it at night, I wake up with less back pain than I used to. I had a stabbing pain in my back between my shoulders that was there for months and after a few weeks of use that pain is almost non existent. I have recently tried going fully inverted and it has helped relieve a lot of tension in my lower back as well. The ankle holders are well padded, but they still take a little getting used to. The key is to relax and just let it hold you like it is designed to do. You can wiggle your feet to get the front ankle cuffs to a more comfortable angle, but I definitely recommend wearing socks or pants until you get used to the feeling. I was skeptical of buying this table because of the lower price compared to other tables, but after tons of research decided that this was the one and it has been the best *** dollars I have ever spent.
