I bought my Leupold scope in 2011 and never have it given any problems, i dial it for long range shooting on my 30-06 600 yrds. On a hunting trip it fell off a cliff about 15 foot and landed on the scope. i battled with my rifle to get accuracy - send it twice back to Leupoltd and they replaced all the damaged parts and even send me a test report - . To make a long story short - there was nothing wrong with the scope - my rifles barrel was bend - Thank you Leupold
The 3.5x10x50 VX-3 is a great scope for hunting in the Southeastern States. The VX-3 lenses perform as good as any on the market in the price range. The 3.5x10 magnification range works well for feed plots and power lines. The 50mm objective pulls in plenty of light for those dawn and dusk opportunities. And I like the heavy duplex, again for the low light opportunities. The VX-3 is well built and holds zero with the best. I check each of my rifles at the first of the season and anytime they take a good good jarring. My Leupolds are about as close to set and forget as they come. And they are made here in the States, with one of the best warranties available. So, it should be no surprise that I have the 3.5x10x50 VX-3 on several hunting rifles.
I bought this scope in 1985. Its been to Alaska 4X, New Zealand 4X, Alberta Canada 3X, Newfoundland Canada, New Mexico twice, Texas and probably about another 150 days of hard hunting here in Hawaii. This is the best riflescope purchase I've ever made and it continues to work as well as the day I bought it. Thanks Leupold!!
