We purchased these for an afterschool program for elementary-aged students, so we wanted them to be sturdy, but not terribly expensive. These absolutely fit the bill. They arrived quickly and were far better than we expected for that price. The magnification is excellent, allowing us to see a great distance, and they seem very sturdy...no small parts or delicate tuning pieces that can be easily broken. The kids have already had them outside several times to enjoy some of the local wildlife and they are holding up well. I'd definitely recommend these!
I'm not well versed in the termanology so I will tell it to you strait. I wanted these to get a closer look at the Moon, as well as some stars. I also use them for Bird watching and what not. The Bino's are very powerfull. I have 10x50's and they are perfect for most viewing applications. These really get me close "Real close" to the things that are far away. There is another review on here that states after you zoom you lose some light and that is true. However it was not an issue for me at all. I have zoomed these all the way out to 140x and have NO complaints at all. You also lose some feild of view when you zoom but again for me that is not an issue. They are not as heavy as I thought they might be, but the will need a tripod for when you zoom. I had a cheap tripod that fit the the Bino's built in mount, so it worked out well there. Once you have your triopd you will be able to zoom out like I said but you will need to try and keep the Bino's on the tripod tight so when you start to view you limit as much gittering as possible. In ending this review I will state that they are a bit spendy but the quality is top notch. From the prism's, mirrors lens coating and over all build. When you try anything new you must have an open mind and reasonable expectations. I do recommend these :)
Just the right size for our cruising & travels to Europe. Excellent optics. We had lost a small pair of binoculars on another cruise, so these are replacing them. Very lightweight, compact. We've used them locally during our visits to the shore. The price was right too.
I bird. A couple of my birding friends use $1000 binoculars with the same range as this Naturescape but I am hard put to see much of a difference between these and the view through my Naturescape. The Naturescape has held up well in the five years I've had mine. It's nevered fogged up and the colors show accurately. I gave the Naturescape four stars because it lacks some basic conveniences: the eye covers don't come attached to the body so I attached them to the strap ring with a carabiner key holder. I also bought attachable covers for the large end. The case is flimsy so I don't bother to use it. I carry the Naturescape loose in a day pack and it's gone unscathed all these years.
I needed binoculars to monitor the play of my grandson as he moved around an island 1/4 mile across the bay at Orange Beach, Al.
Your customer service is tops and your product is exactly what I wanted!
I own a mix of binoculars & brands....now consisting of all sizes from 7x35 to 10x50. Totally dissatisfied with Celestron's earlier roof prism "nature" 10x42 (#71327) open bridge model I purchased & quickly returned 3 years ago. These newer DX glasses from Celestron are well constructed w/ nice features & much improved optic quality. I was expecting slightly crisper image detail here for price & included phase correction....as compared to my cheaper $ glasses which don't have PC but match all else. Nature DX delivers bright, edge to edge clarity + true color resolution w/ generous FOV. Diopter adjustment on mine tends to overcorrect. Happier exterior body color is actually a darker shade green (forest) color than pictured. If looking for quality mid-size binoculars between = compact...10x25 and full-size...10x42, these are quite decent !
I purchased these binoculars after I moved into a Florida condo facing a lake. They have allowed me to get up close and personal with my wildlife neighbors which include a huge turtle, an alligator, and an amazing array of birds that hang around the lake. A useful and economical purchase which has opened up new vistas for me.
LIGHTWEIGHT (10.OZ), COMPACT, COLLAPSIBLE, RUBBER ARMORED, BINOCS WITH COATED LENSES. PERFECT SIZE FOR CAR GLOVEBOX OR STUFFING INTO YOUR POCKET DURING A HIKE. CAN'T BEAT THE ADDED CASE, NECKSTRAP, LENS CLOTH AND LIFETIME WARRANTY.
I was looking for a set of glasses that would reach out there a ways and yet not break the bank. I found these and I was skeptical because I figured that a decent pair of glasses in the range I was looking for would be more expensive even for the cheaper glasses. These are holding up great and they are doing what I bought them for so for the price I don't think you could find any better glasses out there.
