Those having questions might want to download the owners manual. I found this very helpful. I Google 'Home and Garden Spas 6-Person 81-jet Hot Tub'. Make sure it's the manual for the 81 jets. When you goggle the above mentioned sentence, a pdf manual will show up. When the hot tub comes it will have a disk with this same information/manual. I find that having it downloaded on my smartphone is more convenient than the disk that came with it.. Fortunately, the shipping/delivery company gave me good advice: They said to buy some 2 pieces of thick plywood to put over various landscape rocks & steps. Therefore, we were able to get over these obstacles. It weighs well over 800lbs. Let your electricians read page 14 of the manual re: 220v & 50 amps. The hot tub exceeds all the others I'd looked at. Being tall we're happy it's deeper than some. I shopped for this one at ***& many other places overstock had the lowest price. Fortunately the delivery company for Ocala, Fl area went beyond what they were required to do. Throughout the whole process they kept in touch with me giving me updates as to when it would arrive. The hot tub had a label saying the actual date the tub was constructed. Which happened to be the approximate date I ordered it. I wish they would list & recommend downloading the manual upon purchasing the tub. My electrician came back after it was delivered to hardwire it the the electrical box. It's power is turned off by the breaker box( I'm talking about when you totally shut it down not when turning off jets etc). You will love the hot tub as there isn't anything not to love. You won't regret getting your owners manual ahead of the delivery. When I Google the product only one pdf manual came up. That manual was exactly like the disk manual that came with the hot tub. Just follow the section for '220v 50 amp'. I glad I bought this exact tub at this exact location. My electrician whom happens to install a lot of high end hot tubs agreed. I'm a girl & know little about this sort of stuff & I managed to do quite well organizing & figuring it all out. Good luck & enjoy!
We love the Spa and it works perfectly. Originally the first spa was received damaged and we had some trouble getting the damaged spa picked up and a new Spa sent in a timely manner. However, Overstock was very apologetic and compensated me for the delay with both a monetary credit and extra points. I am very pleased with the customer service! Plus, the delivery guy helped set the replacement spa in place and stayed to make sure there was no damage! I love Overstock and this Spa! The speakers are great too!
I bought this hot tub in early Fall last year and have waited to write a review until I used it for a while and could be objective about it. It's been operating without an issue in my garden for about 4-months now. I've rated it 4.5 stars for the following reasons: Value - It's a good quality hot tub that has features that other similar quality tubs have, but those tubs cost quite a bit more. It's a commercial brand that is sold in places and manufactured by Cal Spas, I believe. In researching hot tubs before I purchased this one, I found this unit for sale at several building-supply stores for various prices. Overstock had the best price and was offering a big discount when I purchased this tub. Shipping - It came fully ready to install in a very well made wooden shipping crate. The delivery driver was able to pallet-jack it into my garden from the street as there were no steps. It does weigh about 1000 lbs. so delivery and set-up are significant concerns that should be planned for before they plop it down in the middle of your driveway and drive-away. Quality - For the most part, the fits and finishes on this hot tub are excellent. Many people who have enjoyed using at my place all comment on what a nice hot tub it is. It's immediate impression is very beautiful. There is a vinyl strip that runs around the perimeter of the tub where the molded-tub meets the wooden cabinet. That piece is of lower quality and was easily damaged during installation, but can be relatively easily replaced if the cosmetic scuffing on the strip bothers you. It doesn't bother me, so I've not replaced it. Features - There are many jets that pump out powerful forceful massage pressure. They are easily regulated with top-mounted air and valve controls. The sound system is surprisingly good sound and a joy to use while quietly soaking in the tub. When the jets are on high-power, however, you really can't hear it. But, you could turn up the volume really loud if you wanted to hear it over the jets-noise. The controller-interface is well illuminated and has all kinds of control options. It can be a little confusing at times, but once programmed works well and consistently on the programmed settings. The quality and insulation capacity of the tub-cover is very good. This tub is more-efficient than the old tub it replaced and my electric bill has dropped a few dollars a month by comparison. And the LED Lighting system is really nice in the evenings. I enjoy the slowly changing multi-color mode the best. Short-comings - There's no cover-flip-mechanism included with this tub. Unless you have a place to store the cover beside the tub and don't mind man-handling the cover every time you want to use the tub, a cover-flipper is pretty important. I was able to build my own from 3/4" galvanized-steel water-pipe and fittings purchased from Home Depot for about $. The other short-coming is pump-noise. When the pump is on the filter-cycle, the vibration from the pump is pretty loud, but no louder than my old hot tub. And, finally, the Owner's Manual and Installation Guide online isn't the best. We literally had to take the sides of the tub off to determine which-side was the "front" for locating it in an accessible part of the garden, and being able to attach it to the under-ground electrical cables. That all could have been shown in the installation / owner's manual but was not. In summary, if you're looking for a good quality hot tub that won't break the bank, I think you'll be pleased with this unit. I am so far.
