  • Good Functional Sleeping Bag

Just finished a Kilimanjaro 8 day climb. Bag was very wa at the lower elevations. Staying in the crater near the summit at 15 degrees F. The bag was wa as long as the baffle covering the zipper was in place. The baffle needs to be larger to block the cold from penetrating through. All in all the bag is a good bag especially because of the waterproof outer shell. No moisture penetrated the bag from the condensation in the tent. Bag stayed nice and dry throughout the climb. A better zipper baffle oils make this bag an excellent one and be more true to the -20 degree rating.

  • This bag is Excellent

Guys, I just have to tell you, I never write reviews on anything because I never love anything I buy enough to do so. But I recently returned from an overnight in the White Mountains of New Hampshire sleeping under the stars in an open faced shelter. Minus 8 degrees in your Mt. Rainier sleeping bag with a warm layer of thermal underwear. Was toasty as hell! Have also spent night at -12 in the bag under the stars in some nasty wind, but was in my backyard field-testing so I don’t count that… Could have spent 3 or 4x what I spent for a bag that performs like this, but didn’t! Great product.*****New to winter camping this year Avid Snowshoeing for about 7 years

  • Great bag, but legs to confining.

Would have loved to sleep in this bag, but legs were too confining for me. Great buy for extreme mummy bag lovers.

Appears to be very nice sleeping bag, well constructed, as advertised. I have not used it yet, but it looks good.

I took this sleeping bag hiking Mount Kilimanjaro during the end of the rainy season when it rained three days in a row and this bag stayed dry, warm, and comfortable. Due to the waterproof exterior and the thicker insulation, it's not as compact as some others on the market, but it was true to size compared to what they say it compresses down to. For this bag being less than a quarter the price of other waterproof -20 rated bags, this is a great product.
