I'm not quite a flashlight collector, but I do have a lot of them. Until the Fenix 820-lumen LED Flashlight, the brightest in my "almost collection of flashlights" was a 165-LUMEN HD SQUARE-BEAM which at that time was the "best and brightest." It's still an outstanding flashlight, but now the new titleist as the "The Best and Brightest" is undoubtedly the Fenix 823 Lumen. It's smaller than it might seem, but that doesn't affect its output at all. It's a super-bright flashlight, and I'm glad I bought it. Add it to your collection if you have one -- or start one with this Fenix light. Ancientmariner
Love it, love it, love it!!!! This is just what I was seeking. While it's smaller than imagined (about the length of my palm), that means it fits well in my pocket or purse. There are sufficient LEDs to give me a bright beam of light - a valuable feature when living without street lights or when walking into a dark barn. The metallic color stands out compared to the basic black, making it easy to find. The large push button on the end of the light prevents it from accidently being turned on and off. Time will tell about the durability, but it seems well constructed, and is certainly not flimsy. An excellent value for the price, which I would purchase again in a heartbeat.
I'm a definitely old school and never considered a weapon mounted light but thought I'd give this one a try. It's so light, I can't tell it's on the pistol and it throws out plenty of light. The AAA battery power is a big plus. I purchased a kydex holster that fits with the light on and it's very comfortable to wear also. Very satisfied.
