First I would like to say I am a Daiwa fan and I buy exclusively from them. I was excited about the rod's debut and found the awesome price hear at Overstock. I received my rods super fast ( 7'0 MH, 7'6 H) The rods are constructed really well for the price point and are very light. They fish great and load up on fish well. The only problem I have with this rod is the hook keeper. It is located on the side of the rod. Almost every cast, my line gets caught in it and I have to move it out of there. I haven't lost any fish or damaged line because of it. Honestly its just annoying. If they would have put the keeper on the front like Duckett Rods are, it would be a superior rod for the price point.
I have had this in use from the Chesapeake to the Caribbean. I have it paired with a Cedros Baitcaster. There are two tip options. It manages good sized fish inshore and top water off shore. Durable and handsome.
