I just love my new recumbent bike. I suffer from chronic back pain, and exercising is very difficullt for me. I have been using the recumbent bike everyday, and it is very easy to use. I haven't been able to exercise for years, due to pain. I can now get on my bike and pedal for 5 miles a day. I am so thankful that I purchased this bike. Hoping to get my health back.

I purchased this bike because I developed a problem with my lower back and was advised by my doctor that this would be an alternative to my elliptical. This is an answer to a prayer. Excellent quality, easy to put together and a very quiet ride. Love the read out which tells you your speed, pulse etc. This turns on automatically when you place your feet on the pedals. It also turns off automatically. The seat is comfortable and you can adjust the position. There is a knob you can adjust to make it a more intense workout. It is a quiet ride as well (did I already mention that?) I positioned it so I have a choice of watching TV, reading or answering the phone while on it. It is not so heavy that it couldn't be moved if it had to nor so light it could fall over. I put it together myself (2 hours) and I have no experience of this type. I love, love, love this bike and would recommend it to everyone.

    • Works for me
      Verified Purchase

The bike assembled real well; it's straight-forward enough that for the most part you don't even really need directions. It took about an hour and a half to do by myself, after unpacking and laying out all the items on the floor in a fairly organized manner. The build was good, no missing or broken parts, no scratched metal. 5 stars for that. It's very quiet, and the tension settings are easily adjustable. The seat is fairly comfortable, and as long as you have the adjusters tightened correctly it makes no noise as you ride. If they are not very tight, there will be some wobble during the ride. Do I wish for more support or cushioning in the seat? Absolutely. Is it unbearably uncomfortable? Not at all. The display is fairly simple; it displays the current distance, the time spent, your current heart rate, your mph, and how many calories you've burned for the workout. It also keeps a running count of your overall distance. It doesn't have any fancy programs or anything, it just comes on when you start pedaling. I like that because it's more like a real bike -- just get on and ride! Also, less gizmos, the less things to go wrong with it. Do you need a bike with a USB charger, a cup holder, a tablet holder or a pretty display to look at if you are using it in your home, where there is probably an outlet and a TV nearby to keep you busy while pedalling?

I am recovering from Arthroscopic Knee Surgery and needed to ride 20min/twice Daily for PT for 6 weeks. Love, Love, my Exerpeutic 1000 High Capacity Magnetic Recumbent Bike with Pulse. Price was right, comfort is right! Took my husband about 2 hrs to assemble!!

    • Great product

I have had this product for a month now and I can say that it works perfectly fine for me. I had read all the reviews both positives and negatives, but decided on this machine due to the price. I found that it was easy to assemble. I did it all by myself in less than an hour. They supplied all the needed tools also which made it a lot easier. I find it very sturdy. The seat cushion is a little hard but I use something to remedy for that (for my personal comfort). I also like the heart rate monitor and all the other computerized monitors that are there including calories burned. It's low impact but your legs get some great work out in the end. I broke a sweat the first 5 minutes of "riding". It's a great cardio machine . I recommend it to everyone.

    • great minimal frills recumbent bike
      Verified Purchase

This is a lower cost stationary recumbent bike, but it is very sturdy, and appears well made. My husband put it together in about 1 hour, and all the parts were there. The resistance is accomplished with a knob on the top of the "wheel" housing, but it is easy to reach while peddling, and responds appropriately. Seat is wide enough and comfortable. The display is at a good height, and is easy to read. I haven't tried to set any of the programs; I just sit down and start peddling. It immediately starts going through the various readings; speed, distance, time, calories burned, and heart rate. As long as your hands(both) are on the rests, it picks up you pulse. No real Cons noted at this time. I've had and used this bike for about a month.

    • Great for price

Pros Assembly easy if used to assembling things from Ikea, Big Lots, etc. Will require basic lifting (box is heavy plus components probably up to 20-25 lbs. But once you actually get into it, it is reasonably intuitive. Tools provided. Size-I'm 6'4" 210. I don't have seat all the way back. Quiet-there's expected noise via the tension system, but you won't wake up sombody in next room Don't have to move machine to adjust seat. Cons: Tension system. You can tell you are using a tension system. It has neven resistence. You get used to it and doesn't seem annoying after a few minutes. Just know that this isn't your gymn's fancy bike. No cup holder or tablet stand Overall: I haven't put many miles on it, so I can't speak for durability, but so far it's worth the price. Simple bike with few bells and whistles. Not for serious bikers but great for normal people who just want to hop on in convenience of home and get their 30 minutes in when it's too cold outside to do anything else.

    • Great recumbent exercise bike

This is a light weight exercise bike that is easy to assemble. The digital display is very helpful for tracking mileage, calories burned, pulse, and distance. This bike is comfortable to ride. Great Recumbent bike!

    • Excellent for the price
      Verified Purchase

The only reason I gave the bike four stars is because the front handles are so low, a tall person would have to be able to fold in half to pedal while holding on to these handles. Since I don't use the front handles, it is not a problem for me personally. On the plus side, the pedal movement is smooth, the walk through is very convenient and the seat when properly tightened says solidly in place. I do feel that if the exercise time is long, say over an hour, the seat would get pretty heard. Since I only exercise for 30 minutes, again it is not a problem for me personally. As for adjusting the seat, once you are familiar with the process, I do not think it is particularly bothersome for multiple users. Overall, I think it is well made and a excellent value for the price.

    • Easy to assemble - arrived with damage
      Verified Purchase

I like it. It was easy to assemble (30 minutes) and works well. It is comfortable to use though the front handlebars still mystify me as to their purpose since it is a recumbent bike. It was extremely well packed with a lot of styrofoam padding yet the plastic was cracked in two places (with one looking like an attempt to repair with heat) on the wheel housing and the rounded metal was bent up at one corner where it attachs to the rear support bar. Just cosmetic because none of the damage interferes with operation so I have kept it. I haven't bothered to set the "computer" since I don't care about it. The bike is much sturdier than most I've seen in the stores. I liked that the seat was adjustable, but it would be a hassle to adjust it for persons of various heights on a regular basis.

The bike came dis-assembled, the instructions were clear and if followed assembley was not a problem. It took about a hour to assemble. Thsi bike is perfect for the purpose that I needed it for, recover of knee surgey. This bike provided me the perfect strech to loosen up my knee joint. The seat requires you to loosen 3 set screw handles to slide the seat, but how often do you really need to move the seat?

Easy to assemble for those of us that can hold a screw driver and a wrench. The tools are included. It is a simple sturdy bike that gives you the information you need for a quality workout. Smooth peddling and rock steady. Has all the features than more expensive machines. I am 6'4" and weigh 275 lbs. No problem with my fit. I then adjust the seat for my wife who is 5'3" with no problem.. Definitely a bargain.

    • I love it!

This is the best purchase but I have made in a long time! I use it everyday and it has changed my life. It took me about 2 hours to put it together by myself. So if I could do it anyone can do it. Quality is pretty awesome. The only complaint I have is that there is no cup holder. Other than that I highly recommend products.

This was a fabulous product! It runs smoothly. It adjust for my husband's height and my height. I was worried that it wouldn't be sturdy enough, but it is plenty sturdy. It is not too large for my bedroom and it allows us to bike while we are watching TV.

At first I was skeptical as to what type of quality I would recieve vs. the price. Well, I is better than I expected. Bike does not take up much space as I have it set up in my 5th wheel. Very cost effective if you ate on a budget and want a good exercise machine.

For the price this is a nice bike. It took my husband about and hour to assemble alone. It does not rock or wobble. I am 5’8”ish my husband is 6’2” and my ten year old son is 5’3” we all three can use it and enjoy working out with it. Nice change of pace from the treadmill.

When this isn't being used as a rack for dirty clothes, it actually works really well for the price. It's not as sturdy as something you would see at the gym, but for the average person, it's fine.

I use my bike about 5 times a week. This type of bike is much easier on my back and actually provides a bit of a stretch. I have no complaints other than it was a little frustrating to put together. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this bike for a moderate exerciser.
