You get the same feeling as riding a real bike, ie; more force required in the pedal pushing down position and less force on the upstroke. No assembly or quality issues.
I purchased this bike for rehab after knee replacement surgery. It was easy to assemble, it's quiet, and doesn't require much space, also easy to get on and off. Do wish the handles were a couple of inches longer, but that's a minor issue. My physical therapist was also impressed with the bike.
