  • some bolts dont tighten or go through foot rests
    Verified Purchase

This machine was the most difficult eliptical I've put together. One bolt just keeps spinning not tightening and the huge bolt that goes through the foot rest does not go through all the way so you can attatch the lock nut on the back of it. Also the tension is set on the lowest setting ans is dragging real bad. I've owned elipticals before but I do not reccomend this one at all.

  • You get what you pay for
    Verified Purchase

Where do I start? The instructions for assembly where poor at best, and I am an engineer. I resorted to just looking at the picture. First time on the machine the belt slipped, I emailed customer service and was told just put it back on the wheel, well that would be fine except the belt is much smaller than the wheel. I used gear lubricant and a flat head screw driver to finally get the belt back on, after 1mo of use cross training by alternating slow 5.6 or less with high 9.1 the belt slipped again at this point I just never bothered to put the belt back on because that would require taking the machine apart again. I overpaid at $216 for this and I will just chalk it up to trying to go cheap and cheerful and getting what I paid for. I am looking for a replacement and even though I dont really want to spend $500+ I have learned that anything under that is just a waste of money. My advice to anyone looking for a elliptical is if you dont have the money to buy a good one, you would be better served just waiting until you do rather than have the expensive lesson I did. Stay away from this machine at all cost!

  • Belt broke after 7 months- Not a good elliptical
    Verified Purchase

This is a cheap elliptical with a small footprint. I got it in Jan 2012 and by the end of Aug 2012 the belt broke. The warranty is only 90 days! You basically get what you pay for. We took the machine apart and are trying to find a replacement belt, but no one seems to carry them. I tried going to the company's website and it does not let you go to it. I would NOT recommend this to any one! I used it 4 to 5 days a week for 30 to 45 mins for 7 months. I guess it is cheaper than a gym membership. Be warned!

  • ok for the money
    Verified Purchase

I got this after being used to the elliptical machines at the gym. I knew it would not compare to those but I am happy to say it meets my expectations. I am a 5'4" woman and it feels like a naural stride for me. It arrived quickly and in good condition. I assembled it myself with no problems and the hardest part was deciding which screq was which becasue some components were already assembled. I would not say it is loud when I am using it but there are definently some squeaks so maybe there is still some tightening to do. I have only used it a handful of times as of yet, but no regrets or complaints so far. The only possible problem is that I have not gotten the heart rate monitor to work. I haven't read through those instructions yesy since it seems like it should just work by placing yous hands on the sensors but even without that feature, I am happy with my purchase.

  • I love it!!!!!!!
    Verified Purchase

It wasn't easy to put together but wasn't horribly difficult either. I get a great cardio work out using this machine. You really sweat and I've already noticed a difference in the way my legs look. For the price it's really a good deal. I'm on my way to losing 20 pounds with this thing!!!! I'm very happy with this purchase. If you lose a part and have to call the manufacturer beware cuz they sent me the wrong part. I lost a nut and they sent me ones that didn't fit. Home depot didn't carry them either. They never did send me the proper nut. Luckily Ace Hardware carried it. I couldn't use the entire machine over this little nut. As far as the manufacturer goes, they get zero stars. But now that I have the nut the machine works great!! If your thinking of buying a cross trainer elliptical and don't have a ton of money this is the one!! You'll love it!!!

  • Wouldn't buy again
    Verified Purchase

I bought this according to reviews. This elliptical wobbles quite a bit and if you have solid floors you actually move forward as you are working out. Everything was put together correctly and still the fittings come loose at least once a week and need to be tightened. The stride is a little smaller than I expected and I am short (5ft) If it wasn't for the wobbling I would be OK with it...but it is very distracting.

  • Good machine for the price
    Verified Purchase

Machine took a good 3-4 hours to assemble, there are lots of parts, but iwas able to do it alone. Machine has to rst on a level surface, otherwise it will woble when being used. It is smooth, no squeaks, no grinding noise. Easy to adjust the tension while using it. Its a good purchase foe thw price.

  • Super quiet, smooth motion, kind of small feet
    Verified Purchase

Got this set up a few days ago, and I love it. If that changes, I'll be sure to post an update. I wanted the best elliptical machine I could get for the least amount of money, and I think this is it. Of course it's not as solid as one you'd find in a gym, but for the price, I don't think it can be beat. This sucker is QUIET. I don't have to turn up the TV or music at all. It does wobble just a tad, which I expected from the other reviews. I tried it on the hardwood floor, then put down a yoga mat, and I don't notice a difference between the two. It's a really slight wobble (definitely not rocking back and forth), though; it still feels very stable. The motion is very smooth, not at all jerky (I've been on some gym machines that were more jerky!). One note -- if you have large feet, the footplates on this model are only 12 3/4" long, and there's about a 1" high rim that goes along the front, inside and back of each footplate, so you can't overlap them if your shoes are larger. Assembly was kind of a pain, because the parts list had bad descriptions -- for example, there are two kinds of washers that are the same size; one is just thinner than the other. On the parts list diagram, they're shown as different sizes, and the names aren't descriptive enough (one was called "special" -- not very helpful). And some of the assembly diagrams are pretty crowded, but overall, if you've got some patience, it was pretty straight forward. Some of the things the directions tell you to assemble are already pre-assembled, which was nice. The only problem I had was when it came time to connect the moving mechanism the footplates rest on to the rotating arm on the wheel. The connector pin would just not screw in. Turns out that when they screwed the u-clamp (the part the pin slides through to connect to the wheel) on the back of one part, they got the angle just wrong enough so the screw wouldn't line up perfectly. Once I realized that was the problem, it was easy enough to loosen the clamp just enough to adjust the angle, then re-tighten. All in all, it wasn't a good time, but I still put it together by myself, with the "help" of a one-year-old, so it's not terribly difficult. 5 stars for what it is -- a cheap elliptical machine that does the job well.

  • Decent for what it is
    Verified Purchase

For what this is, it is a good deal. As others said, the instructions are a bit lacking, but if you just chip away at them it goes together pretty easily. Took me about 45 minutes. The unit does creek and wobble a little, but for the price that isn't surprising. The resistance is based on stored up energy so it will take a few routines for the maximum resistance to fully work. It's quiet and smooth. The calorie counter is worthless (not surprising) and the heart rate monitor I've only been able to get to work when standing still. My only wish is that it had a cup holder and that the stride was a bit longer. Decent entry level elliptical.

  • Short people will love it

Main issue with the problem is that I'm 6'2" and it's just not meant for my size. If you are my wife's size 5'5" or under for the price it really works.

  • Excellent for the price
    Verified Purchase

I wanted to get back into a fitness routine but couldn't get outside for long walks and kept making excuses. I was afraid of spending a lot of money on any fitness machine just to make it a coat rack, but I have been using this machine for over a month, steadily and I am SO HAPPY I bought it. Not only do I love working out at home (can work out in my underwear, shower immediately, takes much less time and commitment, watch a show while I do it, don't have to wait in line... etc etc) but this is a great machine. OK, it's FAR from top quality. This is ONLY for beginners or those afraid of making a commitment. It was $250 delivered to my door. Pretty easy set up (for what I expected) and works great. There is not a lot of resistance, the computer part copped out within a month and it's a little shakey (but we're also in a very old house and I'm not sure how much is the machine and how much is our uneven floors). I know this won't last me forever. I do about 4miles/day about 6x a week and wouldn't be surprised if it kicked the bucket in a few months- a year. At that time, I will happily invest the $1000 to buy a gym quality machine. But until then, this machine is GREAT, provides a GREAT workout and was a great way to spend my money to make sure I'd use it. I love using it every day and I love the confidence and happiness it brings to me.

  • elliptical for home
    Verified Purchase

This is a great machine for the home. I put it together myself and initially a few screws popped off when i used it, but i had the tools handy and re-tightened them and tapped the caps with a hammer slightly, so far they haven't fallen off anymore. I would have liked a larger step stride, but realize the machine would have to be bigger for that. Great for the price -i use it alternating with my treadmill.

  • "Okay" for the money
    Verified Purchase

This is a good product if you are lacking space and can't make it to the gym. Much smaller the a gym elliptical. Therefore- not a good product for taller folks. I'm about 5'6" and it's perfect but when I had some taller friends try it out they couldn't use it. There are resistance adjustment knobs but they don't seem to work on mine....Does squeak as other reviews say, but it's bearable for the price. Yes, takes a long time to put together (even with directions). I've been using it everyday for about 2weeks and had to tighten some bolts...Good if you can't afford a really expensive elliptical.

  • great for my needs
    Verified Purchase

I've owned this product since February '10 ... while this product ISN'T the big, heavy duty elliptical you would find at the gym, it does work well and helps get the job done. My hubby put this together in about 1 1/2 hours ... it's not complicated if you have the right tools and can figure out what pieces go where on your own =) It does squeak a little here and there, but it's not a consistent thing for me and really not a big deal when it does occur. I'm very happy with my purchase ... this has been a great solution to my past exercising challenges.

  • Overall Good
    Verified Purchase

Overall the product is very good. I use it almost daily and unlike reviews I have read regarding other machines, this one does not sqeak and make all kinds of noise. The only thing I did not like was the there were many, many parts for assembly and they were not labeled. That made assembly take longer than I would have liked.

  • Ugh
    Verified Purchase

This machine glides very smoothly however the resistance while working out is very light. Consequently, it's very difficult to get heart rate up to aerobic or ae narobic levels. To increase the tension you have to disassemble the vertical tubing which is very cumbersome. It entails removing six screws and then holding the vertical framing up while trying to tighten the adjustment screw.
