I just love my new recumbent bike. I suffer from chronic back pain, and exercising is very difficullt for me. I have been using the recumbent bike everyday, and it is very easy to use. I haven't been able to exercise for years, due to pain. I can now get on my bike and pedal for 5 miles a day. I am so thankful that I purchased this bike. Hoping to get my health back.
This elliptical was exactly as we expected. It was small and nowhere near as smooth as the machines in a gym, but you get a good workout and the price is great! It is very compact and would fit in a room of almost any size. I am 5'4" and my husband is 5'11" and the stride is fine for either of us. The only real concern is that when you get going quickly, it feels a bit rickety, but overall we are very happy with this elliptical!
I was skeptical about purchasing a spin bike this inexpensive over the internet, however, this bike is great bang for your buck! The reason I chose this bike was #1 for price (plus I had a XX% Overstock coupon!) #2 free shipping (thank you Overstock!) #3 It had a speedometer/odometer!!! My 20 year old son put it together for me and had no problems. I am a triathlete and I train 4+ times a week 10-20+ miles each time. I use it with spinning videos as well as videos taking you on beautiful rides through Hawaii (my favorites) I strongly suggest you get a couple of those!! My only complaint is the seat, it is a little hard (but I do realize I may ride longer than the average person) however I still have not changed it and can purchase another seat at a sporting goods store if necessary. I will be buying another one very soon so my husband and I can train together on them. Again, for this price you cannot go wrong!
Very bad joints, wanted a treadmill for so long as walking is about the only exercise I can handle right now, I also plan to use this post op for rehab (hip replacement). So it was with some trepidation that I jumped to purchase this sight unseen, but Overstock hasn't failed me yet. I didnt need bells and whistlesI also had some credits available so it shaved a bit more off the price which was about $200 less than anywhere else. I can't say enough good things, first its easy for one person, with patience and care, to assemble. Not due to difficulty, but weight and moving around the machine. All you need do is attach the bottom legs-the screws line up you cant go wrong, position the dashboard and screw its bolts in place. Plug it in, stand on it, press start and if you would like to go for a stroll, or even a brisk walk, this is your machine. I was so excited to try I didnt have shoes on, but I dont suggest that. Because I dont want to find any excuse NOT to use this at least once a day, I've put it in one corner so its ready to go every morning, but you can close it and probably fit it under a higher platform bed or futon. To say it has no bells and whistles doesnt mean its worth less than the expensive brand treadmills, there's a market out there for older or disabled folks who really do want these types of options and so Thank You Overstock so much for this opportunity.
I had been wanting a fold-up exercise bike for a while, just to save space in our living room. I researched several different bikes, but eventually chose this one because of the attached work desk since I work on a laptop most of the time. To be completely honest, I did not want to pay this much for an excercise bike, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.
The frame is very sturdy, albiet a bit heavier than other fold-up bikes would be, and the seat and backrest are firm, but comfortable. The desk is well-made plastic and can easily support my laptop. The cupholders at the top corners are nice too. The seat, backrest and desk are all adjustable, making it easy to find the right combination for your workout.
The pedaling action is very quiet. I was actually really surprised by how quiet it was. You could probably keep this in your bedroom and exercise without disturbing your sleeping spouse.
I'm really loving this bike, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a work and exercise station like this.
I will say this though: If you are any shorter than 5'2", you may want to look for a different bike. I have to have the seat adjusted all the way down for me to be able to keep my feet on the pedals throughout the whole pedal rotation. I can still reach it no problem, but anyone shorter than me may have a hard time.
I did quite a bit of research before buying this bike. I knew I wanted a recumbent bike, and it had to be under $***. this one had very good ratings and had all the features I wanted. It took me a couple of hours to put together, I did it myself. it was super easy to put together. All the wires are run thru the tubing and most of the nuts and bolts are already where they are supposed to go so you just take them off, connect, and put them back in the same place. The materials are VERY sturdy construction. One of the features that I really love is the coushy seat and the holder for your tablet. I have a kindle fire and watch videos while I am on the bike. The digital display works great but is pretty small. I find that I don't pay attention to it anyway. This bike takes up less room than I though it would and plan to put it on the front porch in the summer months. I need knee replacements so walking for exercise is not an option for me anymore and swimming would be ok but actually hurts as well. this has literally been a life saver. I highly recommend !!!!
I am a 350 pound woman. I got this bike because there is a 400 lbs weight capacity. Because of the price, I didn't know what to expect, but I've had it one week and I know that's not a lot of time but in the short period, I can't tell that it's going to be a machine that lasts. It literally doesn't make a sound. It is sturdy (doesn't budge) and I never feel like I'm going to fall off OR break it. Oh and the best feature.....THE SEAT! What an amazing thing to have a seat that doesn't leave my bottom feeling like 10 people kicked me in it after a workout. BUY THIS BIKE!!! You will not regret it!
I absolutely love the WorkFit by Exerpeutic treadmill desk -- it has become a way of life. I now walk between 4 and 5 miles each morning When I weigh myself and watch the digits decrease, it is a huge inducement to get right back on the treadmill daily. I bought this in October and, without changing my diet or doing any other exercises, today is Thanksgiving and I am down 14 pounds already!! Yes, I am bragging, a trait I disdain, but folks let me tell you ... that is my greatest weight loss yet! I can just imagine my progress would be even greater if I were to change my diet and cut out some of the Papa Johns, Lays Classic, my own special recipe home-baked cookies, Sam's Club cheesecakes, and Blue Bell ice cream. Mind you, I don't eat like that every day; just whenever I get the urge.
The time only goes up to 99 minutes, then the time starts all over at zero. The distance and calories continue to count upward, but not the time. Don't care though; still love it!!
The desk arrived in 2 separate boxes. No freight company needed, just my regular UPS guy -- he carried it in without a dolly or anything. Sorry for the reviewers who complain about the condition it was in. But as for me, upon opening, every piece was perfect; not a scratch. I'm in my mid-60s and have been totally non-mechanical all my life yet, when I got tired of waiting for my son to get here in the evening, ol' eager-beaver me started putting it together on my own. I did it all by myself -- except the last part -- the desk -- it was just too heavy for me to lift on my own (I have lousy upper body strength). My son finally arrived and put the desk on for me and I haven't looked back sense.
Some lady complained the sensors and controls on the sidebars are back too far and WHOMP she fell. The speed and incline controls in the sidebars are also on the console right in front of you; no need to use the sidebars for that anyway (although I use the sidebars without issue). But why even reach back when common sense tells you to touch the buttons directly in front of you. The only other feature on the sidebar is taking your pulse. I'm not sure how well that even works, considering you are moving and to take a valid pulse one should sit still. Again, common sense tells you to turn the treadmill off or step off to the sides when monitoring your pulse if you find the controls are back too far for you. I suppose some people want to take their pulse while walking to stay within a target range -- not me, I simply pay attention to my breathing which tells me when I'm working out too hard and I stop.
Possibly I have a different version from the people complaining that the drink/pencil holders are back too far. Mine are immediately to my left and to my right, within very easy reach (I'm 5'4"); maybe they improved the design since their purchase. The only thing not within reach is the power strip (with 3 plugs, picture showed only 2 plugs) but I have no need to reach the power while walking anyway.
The one and only thing I did not like was having to reach down to my keyboard. I have a 2" binder under my keyboard and that resolves that issue.
At first it looked like a huge elephant, LOL, but with time and mental adjustment, it seems to fit the area better and actually looks smaller in my eyes.
When I work up an appetite for lunch, my metabolism is in high gear from all the walking so I eat whatever I want with the knowledge that my body is burning it up faster than my norm -- the proof is in the ........ morning scale routine. I finally have a reason to smile and no longer think the scale is my enemy.
Next up: How about making a stationary bike with a full desk like this treadmill? A little variety would be great, as long as I can keep working on the computer.
Back to square one ... I absolutely love the WorkFit by Exerpeutic treadmill desk -- it has become a way of life. I recommend it to anyone who has at least 30 pounds to lose; you will see those ol' pounds just melt away while reading your email each day (multi-tasking at it's finest).
Thank you WorkFit!!
This was easy to put together out of the box. The lowest incline setting is 8%, which gives a good workout even just for walking! It was easy to make adjustments and I'm pleased that I will have a 3 year warranty. Yes, it still makes some noise, but I'm happy to be free of treadmill motor issues! This was also a great value since I was able to use my rewards club and a O.co coupon towards the purchase.
