  • nice and compact

overstock.com basically had a deal that is $99 better than anyone reputable on the 'net. this item is extremely functional and serves it's purpose well. It's not the high end line, but for the price, you get the most bang of the buck. plus, this one is much more compact and easy to use.

  • Bushnell V2 Slope Edition

Great rangefinder at a very good price on Overstock. Pinseeker mode makes it easy to get distance to flag, except might have a little trouble beyond 250 yards on a bright day. Compact design allows for one handed operation. Slope feature is nice to have on large elevation changes. I might get another one without the slope feature for use in tournament play. I was surprised at how far off the posted yardage was vs true yardage displayed by the V2 on many occasions (and the V2 was always the right yardage). This is a must have tool for serious golfers wanting to understand the true distance they hit every club in the bag. Nice to use at the driving range before a round to see how far you're hitting them that day. 5 stars.

  • V2 Slope

Worth every penny. When you use this scope you realize how far off the yardage markers are... not only at courses, but driving ranges as well. I save strokes every round because of proper club selection. I strongly recommend the slope version. I love this thing!!

  • Bushnell V2 Rangefinder w/slope
    Verified Purchase

I have used my Bushnell range finder for six rounds since receiving it two weeks ago. I also have a Skycaddie SG3 and find the Bushnell easier and faster to use. This allows me to point and shoot the distance without the need to look at distances that don't pertain to me on the Skycaddie. I also don't have to pay a yearly fee as with Skycaddie. I especially like the "slope" feature which adjusts uphill and downhill distances into actual yardage needed for that particular shot. I also use it at the driving range and have used it around the yard to get distances for flowerbeds, the garden, etc. Some have complained that the Bushnell uses up batteries and they are expensive. The battery is normally around $7.00 from places like Office Max but I went online and bought four of them for less than $3.00 each. That's a lot of batteries for the $50 fee Skycaddie charges per year. Overstock was also easy to deal with and my Bushnell arrived before the time frame given by Overstock.

This is a two part review both on the product and Overstock. The first item I received did not work. I contacted Overstock and within a few hours they sent UPS shipping labels. I mailed the product back the next morning and within a few hours they sent the product and sent me the shipping track information. Since this involved a considerable sum of money I had been worried whether this incredibly good price could have been a disaster, but Overstock was incredible, efficient, polite, and came through. The product I purchased was the Bushnell LaserRange Finder V2 with Slope. I had the opportunity to use a friend's when we played together the last year and a half and was convinced I needed one myself. This is the best of breed, with the inclination compensation the accuracy is outstanding. It lets you stand up over shots with confidence on what you are trying to do so when you execute the shot you have no doubts that if you make a good swing you won't be surprised by being long or short of the pin. Playing with it often lets you really fine tune your distance, in over a year it lets me know precisely that an easy 9 iron will go 144 yards, a little more aggressive will go 148 and choking down an inch will get me 140. This makes the difference of about 5 shots a round, especially when you are playing a new course. It is the difference of me playing in the 70's versus low 80's.It is a must have item for the serious golfer. Buying through Overstock is too, they really came through for me.
