Couldn't be happier with this kayak. I'm 6'1" 255 lbs, and have plenty of room. Very stable and tracks well - my 4'10" 62-yr-old wife, in her first time in a kayak, had a ball. She has tipped many a canoe, but she felt very stable in this. Seems to be solidly built, decent strength for all the fitting etc. At my age I get sore easy, but after 3 hours in this I was still very comfortable (shoulders were sore though) :-)
Easy to transport and carry. Fits well inside our minivan (lying down) or on top of the roof rack. The paddle collapses easily into two pieces for transport. Easy for one person to load into the car. Recommended for ages 5 and up, though perhaps better for daring/bold/adventurous 5 year olds… or ones that are a little older than 5 years old. However, we found this to be a very solid and sturdy kayak, with little concern for accidental tipping or capsizing. I think overall a great kayak…just need to wait for our little one to grow and become a little more daring to get out there and explore!
I bought one of these kayaks about two years ago and loved it. I then sold it and bought a different kayak and absolutely disliked the way it felt on the water. I only owned the second kayak for about three weeks before I decided to sell it and buy another Weber 132. The Weber is a great platform for fishing. It is super stable ( I have never tipped this boat over), easy to maneuver, and the wheel in the skeg is an awesome feature. The storage hatch is extremely handy, and the rod holders work great. Very comfortable kayak to sit on for extended periods of time. The seat is great! You would be hard pressed to find a kayak as capable as this one without spending at least three times as much as you can get this kayak for.
