Bought to replace an identical carrier with a broken strut. The first carrier lasted several years of fairly heavy use and a few crashes. The extra curved side rods allow safe pannier use. The installation is fairly straightforward but can be complicated by paying too much attention to the instructions. The most important installation consideration is to make sure you have upper braze-on connections and lower frame holes available for the four mounting points. This is most definitely NOT a 100-lb capacity carrier; I don't know of any carrier with that kind of rating. Stick to <40lb. The regular price is a bit high for this carrier.
Great quality. Even includes a shoulder strap for the top bag so you can snap it off and carry it with you and still look fairly normal. -1 star for not including installation instructions.... what the heck are these hard plastic strips for? =P
The edges of the bag have a hard plastic frame, so make sure it looks like it will be the correct angle for your bicycle. It will fit a smartphone, a small wallet and a few keys fairly easily, but do not expect much more. I dislike how the only zipper is at the top instead of down the inside edge. Makes for a smaller opening. It does have the the pading for your shoulder incase you have to cary the bike; a nice feature that is not advertised. Overall I would say it is a decent pack for the price!
I am really happy with my M wave Panniers. I was a little hesitant because the cost was so low all the other bags I looked at were $80 to $120 and it wasn't 100% water proof but with a little research I found out that this bag is from a repeatable German company. the bag came and looked great right out of the box if fit my wrack easily and was easy to set up. I sprayed it with a water proffer to add to its rain shedding capabilities as here in Seattle it rains a bit. i love it it is plenty big , i have in it my rain gear and extra lite jacket, lunch ,coffee bike lock, gloves extra shoes and I still have plenty room for more with out stuffing it, I did have to move my wrack back 3/4" so my foot wouldn't hit the bag but it was really easy to do and since I have never had a bag on it I cant say whether I would have had to do that any way. I don't take the bag off I leave it on my bike all the time if, it isn't hard to take off but the bungee / hook attachment isn't the most secure it bounces a bit, I added a Velcro strap from the top ring to the back leg of my wrack and that secured the bag perfectly it doesn't move a bit. I would totally recommend this bag I use it every day, try this one before you spend a $100+ on another brand.
