I bought a lifetime portable backboard system on April 15th, 2013. The left side of the backboard cracked from a hook shot with a youth sized rubber Spalding basketball from my 9 year old daughter. Lifetime honored the warranty by sending me a new backboard. Keep your receipts and owners manual to have exact date purchase date as well as backboard system product ID. Its OK if you do not have product ID from owners manual because it's also provided on a sticker on the pole of the portable system. Lifetime will honor warranty without receipt as well if you give them the product information from the sticker on the pole. The only issue is Lifetime will warranty the system from the production date and not the purchase date. Production date could be 6 months to a 1 year before purchase date. Save your receipts!! Cheers to Lifetime for honoring their warranty on their products without a hassle.
I bought the basketball set as a gift for my so for Xmas but did not set up because of winter in Northeast...so we did in early Spring. One of the hooks on the rim was defective and so I contacted customer service for a replacement and I believe it was Courtney who handled the call...she knew exactly what to do and arranged for a replacement to be sent...and I got a notice of shipment today! She told me it may take about 2 weeks...so I knew when to expect. Quite pleased with the service! Keep up the good work...it is harder to find these days!
We've had this basketball goal for a few years now and it's withstood rainstorms, piles of snow, and high winds. We have 2 small boys, ages 7 and 9, who love to play basketball. We invite neighbors and friends over for friendly games of basketball and we've never had any issues. Then, the base started to leak. I was hesitant as with any limited warranty, there always seem to be "loopholes". That was not the case here. They stood behind their warranty and sent a replacement base free of charge. I was so thankful and appreciative. Tasha was our Customer Service Warranty Rep and she is absolutely awesome. She asks for the appropriate information (receipt or proof of purchase, a few pictures of the damage and of the entire goal (just to be sure that they are sending you the correct replacement part)) and then the item is shipped out promptly. I am so happy with this manufacturer, customer service, warranty coverage, and the product itself. I highly recommend it.
