Special Operations Warrior Foundation Logo

Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) ensures a fully funded education to every child of an Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps special operations service member who loses their life in the line of duty. This includes educational counseling, preschool grants, tutoring, college prep and fully financed tuition and expenses at any accredited two- or four-year college, university, technical or trade school.

SOWF also provides immediate financial assistance to every severely wounded and hospitalized special operations service member.

Since 1980, SOWF has committed a fully funded education to hundreds of children of the over thousands of special operations service members who have given their lives for our country.

Since 2006, SOWF has provided grants to over 1050 severely wounded special operators.

quotes

My husband was killed in action when our daughters were 6 and 7. Special Operations Warrior Foundation was there from the beginning, offering support and guidance. Knowing that the foundation is always there, that you have our backs, and that we aren't a number to you is something we cherish and don't take for granted. We are part of the SOWF family. You know our names and you know our story. Thank you for everything!!!

quotes

When my family received the news [from Special Operations Warrior Foundation] it was bittersweet moment where we celebrated the incredible opportunity that was given to my sister and I, thanks to my father's dedication to the service. I cannot begin to express my gratitude knowing throughout the college admissions process, that the financial burden of college was no longer on our family. I am forever thankful for all the incredible things SOWF does for military personnel and their families. This fall, I am proud to be attending my dream school, the University of Chicago, because of all the foundation does to honor those who have served.
