I ordered 2 of these - both of our lops love them. They are sturdy enough for our 5 and 6 pound lops to jump on top. They are fairly heavy and quite sturdy, but not heavy enough that your bunny can't happily flip it all over the place. One of our bunnies prefers playing with hers. The other prefers hiding out or hanging out on top surveying his kingdom. I would recommend and Overstock has the best price I found.
Had a Precision bunny cage for 5 years, and needed another one due to all the use it had gotten over the years, but could not find anything as well built locally in any stores, so decided to do a search. Found this one on Overstock, and knew our bunny Destiny would fit inside with no problems. Destiny is a rex, and they need some room. It comes packaged well, and all you need to do is slide the sides up, and everything locks in place, as the wire has small hooks that connect the top, and sides. Now our bun will have a new, clean place to eat and drink her water. It does have 2 handles on either side, in case you want to take it outside or just about anywhere. Just make sure your bunny is out of the cage, or it gets a little heavy. They will just sit and watch you if you let them.
This is a great rabbit cage! Upon arrival, I had to wash it because it was dirty, but my rabbit loves it. Be aware that if you have a bunny that loves jumping, you will need to make sure you close the top cover when you are out of the room. I stepped out of the room for 5 mins and my bunny was roaming around the room when I got back!
My bunny loves this item. She doesnt go inside as she is a larger bunny, like a small dog almost. But she loves to sit on top. We put snacks inside so she has to kida of work for them which my vet says is good for her brain. Keeps her entertained. The only thing is, as it is wood. She chews on it. Which is standard for about everything. (Bunny is no longer allowed near the piano) Also because it is wood, as bunnies tend only to relieve themselves in one corner. We learned very fast that if put near that corner, the bottom starts to rot as she enjoys peeing on it for some reason. Moving that awayfrom her relief spot solves that problem though. Other than the abuse my bunny puts on the item, it is wonderful!
