I have a 16 lb Shih Tzu named Peanut, she fits perfectly and she loves that it has meshscreen and she can see out three ways. The color is just as shown and it has comfortable straps for me to carry her. Also it came with a free doggie water bottle! Everything I wanted and more, thanks!!!
Quality fabric and zippers. Folds flat easily and comes with carry case. I purchased for a 19 lb cockapoo that is a little unsure about flying in our small plane. I thought a "pup tent" might make him feel more secure. It did the trick. It is large enough to put a donut style dog bed in it too. I set it up in the family room and the only problem I have with it is that I can't keep the cat out of it!
I work at home and need to confine my 14-lb. shih tzu and 20-lb. lhasa apso dogs when clients are visiting my home office. My dogs have previously been confined in a wire cage and tolerated that well, so I figured they would handle this fabric/canvas type crate as well. So far so good. My little shih tzu does get excited when it's time to let her out and claws at the zippered screen door but has done no damage to it yet. I need to tie a string or something to one of the zipper pulls so I can more readily grasp the right zipper tab to open the door more quickly as the crate is usually in a low-light area and I often end up pulling both tabs simultaneously, which doesn't open the crate. I do love that I can quite easily move the lightweight crate from room to room. This makes it much more versatile than the old metal crate. So far I've only left the dogs in the crate for 1-1.5 hours at a stretch. I wouldn't use it for dogs that were very anxious or chewers or unaccustomed to being crated unless I was nearby. There is enough room for both dogs to fit inside comfortably but if I was leaving them inside longer on a more frequent basis I would probably get an additional crate so that each dog would have a little room. As long as the zipper holds out I can see this being very useful.
One of our dogs (an 85 lb. scaredy-cat) is terrified of thunder and rain and always looked for a confined space during storms, so we bought this crate to try to help him feel more secure. He used it frequently and seemed to love it. However, when we had company over we wanted to dismantle it for the day, and while husband handled that chore it bent and broke. If you have a good place to store it assembled (we don't) it is a good product - it just didn't work for us.
