When you take this out of the box it looks like the only thing that would fit in it would be a lizard or snake....but when you unzip it, the rest of it is inside. Mine didn't come with directions and it took awhile to figure out how to put it together. When together, there is plenty of room for a cat or small dog. There is a pocket on one side that is about 6 "x 7", an inside safety cord with a collar clamp on the end that you can attach to the pet's collar, a mesh zippered door on the opposite side from the pocket, a fabric carry handle, a fabric (tough) shoulder strap and the hard plastic fold down pull handle. Besides having the mesh door, there are 12 large vent holes on the top. The pull handle attaches to the carrier by 2 fabric pieces with a zipper so you can carry it instead of pulling it. Nifty. When the pull handle is extended without the carrier, it looks like a dolly that you use to move heavy boxes etc. Also, on the bottom of the middle part of the carrier there are 4 Velcro strips to fasten it securely to the pull handle bottom (the flat dolly looking part). I am sure it will be perfect for my 2 cats and my Chihuahua. I am leaving it all put together because if I needed to go to the vets in a hurry, I know I would get frustrated putting it back together.
We had to buy this size because our cat is 27 pounds and doesn't fit in a normal size carrier to go to his appointments. He loves it already like it's his own little private sanctuary! Good quality and a soft lining on the bottom!
The carrier is nice, I haven't used it yet, but it did come with a flaw. Two velcro tabs meant to hold the front door open were placed back to back on the door, rendering them useless. I changed the placement, but not pleased to have to repair a brand new item.
I didn't end up with mine from here as the third party seller cancelled my order with a stocking problem. The carrier itself is great. My chihuahua has arthritis and he can walk a few block but gets pooped. I plop him in, tether him and keep going. He can see the world and keep going. He really loves it!
