These are well made stairs that will hold up for a long time. My older 22 lb. male cat loves the stairs that I've placed close to his elevated feeding station and often chooses to "roost" on the top stair. While I have seen him scratch a bit on the top stair, he still prefers his carpeted cat scratcher for that purpose.
While a useful item, my dog is terrified of the ramp. He's a big dog, under the max weight limit for the ramp, but it bows slightly when he steps on to it, so he jumps off afraid its going to give way on him. I don't think it would, but he's not taking any chances!
LOVE.We have 2 of these now for our elderly pets, but even the younger pets use.Easy to set up. More sturdy than you'd think. Carpeted stair trends allow for more traction than just wood. We have a taller / higher bed and still worked great.
