These are well made stairs that will hold up for a long time. My older 22 lb. male cat loves the stairs that I've placed close to his elevated feeding station and often chooses to "roost" on the top stair. While I have seen him scratch a bit on the top stair, he still prefers his carpeted cat scratcher for that purpose.
I’m not really impressed with these, mostly because if you barely touch them they collapse into the ramp. I ordered 2. The other one is still in the box. I think it’s too late to return them
I bought this for my elderly Border Collie mix, who is about 71lbs. Her legs have been giving out on her. She wasn't so sure about it upon first use. Had to use a treat to lure her back out of the truck. My little dog, once she was used to it, ran up and down to show how it is done. I prefer the artificial grass for her comfort and grip. She had a hard time balancing, but my husband helped keep her on the ramp. It is one of the wider ramps out there. He took them on their first trip and said she did well. The ramp is a bit heavy for me, but he had no problem with it. Probably better a bit heavy than too light. Overall, very pleased.
Just moved into a new home and purchased a new bed for hubby and myself. Not realizing this bed is way higher than our old bed. We have two Puggles that sleep with us. I found the dogs were having issues getting onto the bed and they would stare and whine at me to be picked up. I bought the pet gear easy step II Stair and not only do the dogs love it and use it, took to it very quickly, but I am now using it too. I've developed a bad hip and its better for me stepping up to the bed then raising my leg that high. So happy I made this purchase!! :)
