I feel so much better since Groupie, my border/aussie has a car seat, booster seat, seat belt and bed in the back seat. It's just high enough that she can open the window and stick her head out, and she can't get into the front seat.
I bought this because my Yorkie was always riding in my lap. That was the only place he would ride and, although he never moved, it was uncomfortable and dangerous for him to be there. The booster seat is easy enough to figure out how it goes, but the clips are very hard to squeeze open and I had to put something under the seat even though my dog is only 5 pounds. At first, he tried to get out of the seat. I went around the block with him and, I think, it was a bit strange for him to see everything besides just the dashboard. I will have to take him out a few more times before I try a long trip with him. If only the clips were metal and easier to open, I would have given it another star.
If you love your dog you Must buy the booster car seat! I feel my dog is protected when in her car seat which is always when she is in the car. NBurtch
