I bought this for my front porch because a neighbor's cat hangs out there all the time and I feel sorry for him when it's cold. He loves it, and it is easy because I have an outlet on the porch right next to the spot I put the house. I did have to tape up the plastic door because he was nervous about going through it, but I think he will get used to that. Price was great too!
Pet bunnies need at least one square foot of space per pound of rabbit. This hutch comfortably houses my bun, who has access to both levels. I could not recommend this as a housing solution for more than one bun, unless they were a mini breed. The cedar exterior looks great as an indoor piece of furniture, especially compared to the more commonly available plastic and wire hutch setups. The thick plywood used for the back and interior walls, and the plastic floor trays, all look like they will handle years of use. We're several months into owning this hutch, and my suggestion for improvement is that the hardware for the locks and hinges is a little cheap, and I will probably replace it with sturdier stuff over time, been watching the hardware store closeouts for what I want.
This will contain your rabbit or small pet if they aren't "diggers." HOWEVER, this will NOT protect your animal against varmints. We redesigned the layout for a run and attached it to a hutch for our camper. Worked well for that purpose.
Our cat loves this warm house. It is perfect for an average size cat, especially on rainy, windy, and cold days. The cat seems to like the warm, cushioned bottom. The shelter was easy and quick to setup. The fabric exterior keeps the cat warm and dry. It has a detachable clear plastic door flap. The interior and door size are perfect for our cat.
