I have 2 dogs and bought one for each dog. These beds are very well made, don't shed any material, and super soft. I have washed and dried them a few times and they have come out perfect. My dogs love them and so do I!
Agree with other reviews - wouldn't heartily recommend bed but I am buying #s 4 & 5 for my 8-month 52lb boxer who focuses on an end and easily chews through it, ultimately ingesting the stiff, synthetic padding 'puffs.' If your dog is a chewer, beware.
One thing I have done to the last two beds he opened, is buritto-wrap them in an old sheet, lightly tying the ends, tucking them under and putting in his XXL crate. That works. But not pleasant to look at on the floor in a room which is why I'm buying two more...if I could watch him 24/7 I wouldn't have this problem. Not the dog, it's the owner... :)
What can you say about a mat. It is a good quality mat, functions as a mat, does everything a mat is supposed to do and does it well. It fit the kennel it was designed for and my dog seems to like it so I'm happy. At $20 there is nothing to complain about.
Which brings me to a curious review I read before I bought this mat. I rated this mat 5 stars because it is a nice mat. One reviewer rated the mat 1 star because her dog ripped the mat up. I couldn't understand how the bad behavior of her dog had anything to do with the quality of the mat. I still don't. I bought two and my dog has torn one to pieces. I have just order two more mats, one to replace the one she destroyed, one as a backup. I am going to work on my dog's behavior and hopefully she won't rip either of these new mats, but if she does I won't come back here to complain about the mat. Whether my dog shreds it or not, it is still a good mat and worth the price.
AWFUL PARENT ALERT! I bought this for the dog, clearly. However, it took a little longer than usual to get here. In the interim, I found two nice ones at a close out store in town for $20 bucks (which were the right size) I did not know this one was HUGE!!! I'm blonde it states it in the description, I clearly didn't read it. This one arrived, I open it, gasped at the overwhelming size; and thought, ugh I have to return this. Well it was about 2 minutes after that the 6 month old baby made his way over to this dog bed and decided to crawl around on it! I think it was the "lamb's wool" fabric. So we loved it, and for a brief time we had the jumbo "baby's mat" that the baby used to crawl around on until he really figured out how to go, then there was no containment. It was great, we would just roll it up and stick it under the crib when he wasn't using it so we could make sure no dog hair for baby and his toys ... Fourth kid. Don't judge. Now it IS the dog's bed. Not as glorious a purpose. German Shepard, full sized, seems really large for her. Still happy with it. FYI it is not as luscious as the picture would have you believe.
This dog bed fits perfectly in our dog crate. Just wanted some more cushion
in there for the winter. I have a large blanket folded up on top of this, so
our little Rosie is very happy with her bed. She even goes in there lots of
times without being told. Must be real comfy. She loves it and I liked it very much.
My mom's old dog Maggie is no longer interested in playing with the toys I send each year for Christmas so I decided to give her something to make her old bones more comfortable. She immediately laid her sweet head on it and so I think it was a good choice.
My dog enjoys her Snozzy. One thing that would improve it is a removable cover. My dog sheds badly and it would be nice to be able to unzip and take off the cover to throw it in the dryer to knock of the hair.
I bought 4 of these beds. My dogs love them. They are Super BIG which is great for the larger dogs! They are warm, soft and comfortable. Put them right in the washing machine and they come out clean and fresh as new. I cannot tell you how many other bulkier beds I have tried. The others hold sand and dirt even after washing (as evidence of the sand I find in the dryer) My dogs have not tried to "eat" them or pull the stuffing out as they have with other beds. They are thinner than a standard bed but just as warm. So many uses: the back of the car, in the dog room, anywhere in the house, on the porch, at the end of the bed, in a crate. You will not be disappointed. I wondered about them but decided to order these because I have other fuller beds from this same manufacturer and they too are great. I was looking to save a little money and these far exceeded my expectations on quality.
I purchased this pet bed for my cocker spaniel, Bailee. She can be found most any time during the day napping on it. It holds up well, can be machine washed and the price for this quality of pet bed is great. There is ample space for her or a larger dog. Also the material doesn't shed or knot up. Great buy!
This pad is just what I needed for my mix German Shepphard/Rottweiller. He is famous for tearing out the stuffing from the many beds that I have purchased for him. I can just throw it in the washing machine when dirty.
