This is a lovely piece of furniture and I have been pleased with it since the first day it arrived. According to my boyfriend, it was easy to assemble, and my cats had no problems getting used to it. (Honestly, I think my female enjoys the privacy). I've had this piece for about a year now and it is still in great shape. However, around the fourth or fifth month, I had to glue one of the legs back on. A little wood glue, though, and it was back to normal. This piece has held together through a stressful move without issues, or need for re-assemble, it is easy to clean, looks beautiful and sturdy, and fortunately, smell has never been a problem. I recommend this piece to any cat owners who, like me, love their cats and despise the plastic litter boxes out in the open. This piece makes for a gorgeous accent piece and if it weren't for the small entrance on the side, several guests would never know it was a litter box. While I had to talk myself into this purchase (and justify $$$ for a litter box to my boyfriend) I am very pleased. However, I would recommend keeping wood glue handy, just in case.
My daughter asked for this for Christmas. It was just what she was looking for to "camouflage" the litter box in her tiny apartment. She said it was easy to assemble.
