The only thing that would be even nicer would be that the gate panel opened completely. As it is now there are support wires across the top of that panel. But it must be that way to make it stable, and it is that. I use the pen to let my mini-rabbits play in the house, it is a very good value and great product.
We purchased this exercise pen because our dog had outgrown her crate. So, being 6 months old (terrior mix), she still needed to be confined while we were both at work. This seems to fit the bill; we set it up in our kitchen and secured the pegs flat on the linleum floor with duct tape, until she's a little older and can be trusted in the house. It seems to give her a safe, secure haven just like the crate does. We were able to fit her memory foam mattress in there, along with food and water dish, toys, etc....We placed a garden netting on the top of it, to make sure she doesn't attempt to get out on the top. So far, we are very satisfied with the product, although we felt the tines were a bit thin .Again, for the price, it suffices.....
I bought this pen so that my two chiweenie dogs could have some "outside" playtime. The height keeps my pups in and other dogs and the grandchildren out of the pen. It was extremely easy to assemble. I'm so happy with it that I am ordering another to connect and expand their play area. I also found a sunscreen that attaches to the top of the pen to provide shade - important for our hot southern days. The only thing I found to be a little disappointing were the anchors - there were only five and they were somewhat flimsy. I am sure, however, that I can find something at the local hardware store to secure it to the ground.
