I got the cat sized one to fit in an outdoor crate for my dog. Fits great, works well. I don't have to worry about him when we have freezing weather. And way cheaper than the big-box pet supply store!
My 2 feral cats love it. I added a heated pad, another K&H product. This house got them through a bitter winter. I put it on a wooden table on the patio, beside the sliding glass doors. I put a fleece blanket over it, and they knew they were supposed to slip into it under the blanket overhang at the front entrance. My ferals don't like most shelters, but this one is a winner.
This is the second K&H House I've purchased, but the first HEATED house! Didn't realize they sold Heated houses, or both of my purchases would have been the same. The houses are easy to construct (my son does it!) and the Heated house offers a soft pad that warms lightly to the temperature of cats, so that it may be used over the course of the entire night without making the cats too hot or endangering them with too much heat. The houses are of moderate size, but large enough to accommodate 2-3 cats. There are clear plastic-covered swing doors on both ends of the house, which enable easy escape from predators. The exterior is a durable polyester material, which is washable. The discrete sage color of the houses enables them to hide nicely behind he bushes around our house. We're hoping the cats use them. We think the cats must consider them high value, because the exteriors have been sprayed, and hence required washing, as noted above. Wish I'd seen these houses a long time ago. I would highly recommend them.
