This cat tree was a great investment for our two cats! We have one that is very active and daring, and the other is older and easy going but both love to play, climb, jump and sleep on it with much enjoyment . It is well made, easy to assemble and perfect size. One of the best things about this product is the two ramps, to help the cats get all the way to the top. All cats and cat lovers will 100% enjoy this product!
I needed a high perch for my 3 cats, one is 8lbs and the others are 18 and 22 lbs. They are all over the age of 2. Much like any furniture you can put together yourself, it was unsturdy as a standalone. I have it propped in a corner of the wall, so the wall is bracing is on two sides. That seems to do the job just fine although I am considering anchoring the 2 high side perches with anchor screws, cheap to get at any hardware store. My cats seem able to use it just fine, the 18 lb cat has tested out both 'nook' areas and fits inside perfectly. They dont seem to have any trouble. The scratch areas are being tested as I write this and seem to be going well. The only part I dont like is the little walkways are only secured by minimal hardware that allows it to swivel, so I will have to find a way to anchor that down. Good product, would recommend to a friend or other cat owners
This cat tree/cat condo is not quite as sturdy as what you may find in the pet stores but is certainly worth the comparatively low cost. The upside of it being built with slightly less sturdy materials is that it is noticeably lighter and easier to move. We paid about $130 for this one and the pet store had similar ones in the $250 range. This one is not covered with carpet, which would wear better, would provide another claw-enjoyable surface and be easier to clean, but the plush is adequate. We were happy to find it was easy to assemble. The biggest problem was keeping the cat off of it while we put it together. The design is outstanding. Lots of little cubby holes and perches. Our cat is on it all the time and loves the high perches and the little hanging toy which is attached to one of the perches. NOTE: Be mindful of where you place this item if you have a security system in your house! We discovered that our cat can set our system off when we are gone if she climbs and jumps around on it. She's up high enough for the electronic eye to see her movements. The family room is where we are all the time and the place we needed to have it -- so we just lay it on its side when we leave the house and have to turn on the alarm.
I was looking at so many and I missed the measurements. I have two average sizes cats and it's a little on the small side. They fit on it but the top platforms would be better if they were about 4 inches bigger. It is a nice set up and easy to put together. I would recommend it, but not if your cats are on the bigger side.
Have purchased several cat trees over the years and am usually annoyed by how flimsy the poles are. GO Pet trees have VERY sturdy posts, which is great for our Maine Coon. Was so happy with this tree that after putting it together I ordered a second one, different model. Our 3 cats really enjoy them both - I did reconfigure them so now they do attach to each other to make one larger play area. In reading some of the other reviews I do agree that the round cubbies, from second purchase, are small for our larger cat but the other two are fine with them.
It took my daughter and I 30 minutes to put this together. The cats are already claiming it and they love it. The little mouse on it is very entertaining for both the cats and for us to watch! You can't get a cat tree in the stores as good as this one. If you are looking for a cat tree - LOOK NO FURTHER!
This tree is attractive, sturdy and has enough "real estate" to allow for raucous play by more than 1 grown cat at a time. It also gives plenty of places for sleeping, which is very valuable. The faux fur covering seems a little flimsy, but is a pretty color. Happily there is plenty of sisal to amuse and care for claw upkeep. We haven't had this tree long, so don't know yet how it will wear; but first impressions are very, very good and the kitties love it. It was also easy to put together. Compared to items available in retail stores, we saved a pretty penny, too. Well done, Go Pet Club.
We have a lot of cats in our house, to the two cat towers we had were always filled and there some times were "disagreements" which kitty should get the top. So with this years tax return we decided to get more towers. Our cats are between 4 years and 12 years old. Some of them like to climb high to sleep, others like to hid. This tower had both. Setup was not too bad, however it is easy to accidentally put the wrong post on (more than once we had to un-screw and re-screw the post to the correct position). But once we get it setup and put in a corner it became a hit. The cats enjoyed it and it three of them spent the rest of the day perched at the top :) The color matched our internal colors of the room we had this unit so that was a big plus. The hanging "balls" did not last long but thats because are cats are crazy when it comes to those things. We ended up removing the stairs as non of the cats used them..plus when they wanted to go down, it took up too much space for them to jump down to (so they just jumped from up high) . We really are happy with this unit and would recommend it to our friends.
This is best best cat tree I've ever bought and it was the same price as the small ones at the pets store but it's 3x the size. I have 2 Maine coon cats that are fairly large and they love this. It was easy to put together and is perfect for the cats!
The tree was easy to put together and our kitten loved it right off. She sleeps in her highest tower every night and just loves all the levels. It sits in a corner by a window where she has great access to looking outside. As she grows we will be taking off the ramp areas to give more room on the apartment areas. The ramps are pretty flimsy and in the way but needed for a young cat but not an older one. I would like the base better if a bit thicker and wider base board was used but those are easy fixes. All in all it far exceeds what I could get locally for the price. The few tweeks I will make will make it last far into my kitten's adult years. She is a lynx point ragdoll so going to be about 20 pounds. The wider and thicker base will allow me to spread out the risers so her litter box can be located in the base to add to the weight to make it less tippy. The shelf behind the first box condo area I wish was level with the top of the condo as it would make it a great feeding area. It will be fine while she is a kitten but as she grows I might have to move her food to the next level as there is a bit more room. My kitty spend hours running up and down and she knows the area is hers so a great investment.
Our cat loves her new cat tree. She spends a lot of time playing, cleaning herself and napping on the cat tree. She loves to go to the top tier and watch everything around her.
I have 2 adolescent cats. They both love the tree and spend hours on it. My furniture has finally gotten a break. It was really simple to put together. I put it together myself in under a half hour. It came with all the tools needed. It seems to be fairly sturdy as the base doesn't move when they jump to the higher levels. The only negative that I can say is that the mouse came off on the first day, as my little buggers were determined to get it off. They have scratched a small section bare down to the wood on one of the polls. approx. (2" by 2"). Other than that overall it's a great buy. Honestly to buy something that size in the petstore would probably be double or triple the price so it's a great steal.
I've owned a number of these - we have 19 cats. Our cats absolutely love them. Sometimes we have to tighten down the higher posts due to our 18+ lb cats' frequent use of these. The cats love the high places. I wouldn't buy any other climber after having had these. These are a decent climber for the price! We only had one that had a post break, but after a couple of years of use. We are in the process of buying another. My huband and I bought three pet hammocks (look like cups) for each of our three climbers. The cats go crazy over these. Unfortunately, I can't buy the hammocks separately in the US. Purrs in our hearts cat store sold us some (shipping is a bit pricey), but well worth every penny. These are used as often as the high perches, if not more. I highly recommend this climber to anyone with a multi-cat home. Please make sure if you have large cats you have the climber with the 27" base. We bought one once that had a 23" base, and our larger cats would cause it to tip - would never buy the smaller based one again.
This was easy to assemble and our four cats love hanging out in it during the day. The platforms are a little small for our bigger cat, but the others can curl up inside the houses with no problem. Great cat tree for the price.
It is very tall. I didn't realize it would be taller than me and I am five feet eight inches. My cat plays on it a lot. He was afraid of it at first but he was sleepng on the top tiers within a day. It wobbles just a little because it is so tall but there have been no topples and I have had it for over a month now. The hanging toy looks weird but my cat doesn't mind. I call it his castle. I would buy it again if I could do it over.
My cats spend such a large portion of their day on this cat tower. It was easy to assemble, and I haven't had any issues with instability or anything breaking or falling over. And they even fight and play up at the top! Not to mention one of my cats is a pretty large cat They ripped the little toy off of the string almost immediately, but I expected that. They use the scratching posts and the little houses, but their favorites are the three top perches. And this is so much bigger and with so many more features than ones at the pet store that cost the same amount or more! Definitely recommend!
I have a 5lb cat and a 14lb cat. Both fit on the platforms just fine. And the bigger cat uses the bottom condo, while the smaller cat fits the top condo. When they both play on it, it wobbles around a little but not enough for it to tip over. The cats don't use the ladders, but I see no reason to take them off. I added more string so the cats have their own to play with (butchers twine, it lasts longer and is stronger)! The light color faux fur goes with any decor you have. If your cat is skeptical to get on it, just use a little cat nip on it, they can't resist!
I had been eyeing this cat tree for quite some time. Finally decided to buy it after shopping around quite a bit. Very satisfied with how quickly Overstock was able to ship it out. The instructions were quite simple to follow. It took my son and I about half an hour to assemble it. I agree with some of the other reviews that the two ladders are kind of flimsy and useless. My two cats do use them every once in awhile. I love that both of my cats don't need to fight over the perches since there are three. They really enjoy being high up there! They definitely use all the sisal posts to scratch on also. Overall, it's definitely worth the price for what you get!
This is our 2nd cat tree and by far the best! Purchased 2011 and it's still going strong. Both my cats are over 10# and race up and down this thing like crazy. They LOVE to lounge on the top tiers by the windows to look at the birds/nature and just to take long naps. I found the ramps to be useless additions and took them off early, but maybe kittens could use them? Also removed one of the towers as it became a hindrance (gave my large cats more room to maneuver up & down) The shortest tower became loose, but I placed in a corner to help stabilize. VERY good tree for the $$. I'll have this for years to come.
This cat tree is great for cats. Probably better for kittens. However I have 4, 7lbs to 13lbs adult cats that are very happy with this purchase. Top purchase are a bit wobbly, when cats get the crazy's. It has a plush fabric wrap instead of carpet, Which probably is the reason for the low cost. However I think it would be easy to upolster when needed. Assembly was quick and easy. Overall great deal for the cost, I am considering picking up a second one.
