I was looking for a raised feeder with a stable base as many are more decorative, but not practical. I got the medium size, 8 in raised; the bowls are standard diameter so I was able to find extra bowls that fit perfectly for cleaning rotation. I like that water spillage is contained in solid feeder bowl slots and does not drain on the floor. I have never used the optional water bottle attachment slot, so I can't comment on its practicality. Mfgr says, "You can also use the optional watering feature of this diner. To use, simply lift out one of the bowls and replace with one of your plastic bottles, filled with water and turned upside down. The feeder has a receptacle to receive the bottle; simply screw it in and you will have a longer-lasting supply of water."
I bought the set of these, water and feeder. It works great. I needed a way to feed my cats while out of town and this product was the answered. It took awhile to the get the handle on filling and moving the containers without spilling everything. My one negative is one the top of the dry food feeder, it doesn't fit correctly and if your not careful it will spill.
I purchased this Polywood feeder after 2 previous raised feeders broke, or looked deplorable after only a few months. This feeder is a nice, neutral cream color, with a faux wood texture. It has very deep stainless bowls and cleans up like a dream. No veneer to "peel" off, no wrought iron to rust. It's sturdy and contemporary and perfect!
