I was looking for a dog house for a 70-lb dog. I wanted a Dogloo but had no way to transport it or get it into my yard, so I went for the Tuff-n-Rugged which comes in two flat packs delivered to my door. Overstock had a great sale price one day. The dog finds it very comfy and hangs out in it. However, i would disagree with reviewers who said it was huge. My dog is 70 lb and i would not put a larger dog in this house. My dog can stretch out but there is no extra room (he is short, long and stocky). It was easy to put together by myself. It has been in several rainstorms and stays completely dry. It seems like plastic that will last a long time. There is a little window you can open or close for the rain. The plastic is double-wall but it is not insulated like a Dogloo. It provides good shade and shelter from the sun and rain.
I love this dog house. I also bought a bed that fits perfectly. My dogs loves it more for naps in our garage when he is outside with us when we work in our yards.
I love this little house. Actually I bought it for my cats and at first they were a little leery about it(as we know, cats are very suspicious little creatures) but now they love to hide in it and I have placed it in front of a window and they are enjoying the balcony view. I highly reccommend this product. The price was right (got it on sale and shipping was free) I love a bargain.
Assembly of this dog house was easy thanks to good instructions/labeling. For the money, I only could rate it average. As my funds are tight, I would have been upset if it hadn't been on sale and I had not had the little coupon I did. I said I would recommend but I'm really on "the fence"...not really a true "yes" but I wouldn't say no. Someone else might think it meets their needs completely.
