This is a crate that I use for an end table too! So my dog is in the crate and I'm drinking coffee with a lamp and a plant on top of it! So cool! And it can be opened up and used as a gate! I love it so much, I bought another one! (I have 4 dogs!!) :-)
I have a 60lb German Shepard/Akita. The crate is plenty big for her, but I wish it was about an inch taller. She can't sit up without her ears hitting the top of the crate. The two doors are convenient, however, the direction the door swings is not reversible-i.e. hinge on the left versus hinge on the right. The pull out tray is also convenient. The wire is heavy enough to stand up to normal use. I've been traveling with the crate a lot this summer and have noticed that the edge where the carrying handle attaches has begun to bow out from dragging it around so much. It's not too heavy, but it is large (42 inches in fact) and a bit awkward to get in the car. It's no doggy prison. I'm pretty sure if any dog started tugging on the corners enough they could escape. Then again, a collapsible crate probably isn't the best choice for a hoodini dog anyways. It's a fine choice and good value for a dog that is comfortable in a crate and isn't going to try and chew through the plastic tray though.
