I don't care that it says 'this is not a chew toy'. That is what dogs do! lol However, it is hard plastic so tooth will probably break before ball does. I put it in a sock and let pup chew away. Very cute voice that entertains.
Got this toy for our small-to-medium sized (35 lb) Aussie mix, and she loves it! She is quite smart and so mastered it quickly, but it keeps her entertained and she has to "work" for her food. She quickly learned to hold the blue "test tubes" upside down with her mouth, so the food would just pour in LOL! You will need to invest about 15-30 minutes to teach your dog how to use this. The instructions included which describe how to use are helpful too. Putting on the second test tube cap that is provided made the task a little harder because it limits the amount of kibble that can come out, thus prolonging the game and forcing her to actually spin the test tubes, which I like. Please note that I supervise my dog when playing with this toy, I do not think it would be good to leave your dog alone completely unsupervised as they might try to chew up the test tubes and they are obviously not meant to be durable chew toys. The toy was extremely easy to assemble and use. The only other improvement I could suggest is to glue down the white "legs" of the toy into the wooden base to provide more stability, but this has not affected our enjoyment of the toy thus far.
