  • Seems like seconds

I have always loved the PhD mechanical pencil and had one that lasted for YEARS. These seem to be seconds and the leads do not flow smoothly through the lead sleeve and then leads break. A bid disappointed!

These pencils appear ok at the start, however, when trying to add new leads or get the pencil unjammed, they fall apart; would not recommend, not worth the price

They don't make these pencils anymore and it's a shame. These things used to sell for about $10 each and in my opinion they were worth it back then. If you're a student that does a lot of writing or math I definitely feel these pencils are worth the investment. The pencil has a triangular grip that makes it comfortable to hold for long periods of time. I also don't get that callous that I would normally get with any other pencil or pen. Oh and the eraser on these is good too.

I primarily use pencil and these, particularly this older style, are my favorite. The weight is comfortable and the grip is very suitable for my hands. The long twist eraser in the end is one of its greatest features because you don't have to replace the eraser very often unlike other pencils. I haven't been able to find these in the stores forever. When I found them on overstock, I ordered 12. One con...the mechanisms do wear out after time but not very quickly. So 12 of them should last me quite a while.
