Our company loves Avery address labels. We use them on a daily basis. We have to keep a box on hand at all times. We use them for our company return labels but also for the address label the item is going to and in a CPA's office that is a lot.
I've used this product before and had a little problem with alignment. I work around that by first printing the entire template on a sheet of normal typewriter paper. I then align the edges of that sheet and the edges of the Avery paper and look through both sheets at once with a bright light behind the papers. I can then see how well the text etc, which is printed on the typewriter paper, lines up with the borders and separations of the Avery paper. I make certain there's a reasonable amount of space all around the printed text that's on the typewriter sheet as it relates to the divisions on the Avery paper. If the alignment looks good I print one sheet of the Avery paper. If changes are still needed I make those changes before putting another sheet of Avery paper into the printer. After the desired alignment is confirmed I name and save that file in my doccuments. After that's done the cards come out looking nice. If I required absolute perfection without doing any alignment work I'd just spend the big bucks and use a professional printing company. Avery gives me acceptable cards without a huge expenditure of time and resources, as well as the fun and satisfaction of printing my own custom cards.
