I bought this for my son's college apartment. It certainly meets the requirement for strength and durability. It does not have predrilled holes, so you will need to mark and drill your own. Note that the table top is finished on both sides. We bought the "walnut" table, but in actuality had a walnut top and a natural top to choose from.
A corner was damaged and a small piece of one side was as well. Probably banged or dropped in transit. Did not complain to overstock or company as I knew I wouldn't package this big table back up and try to ship back. Otherwise, large and sturdy table, laminate finish on top is good and attractive.
i bought a cheaper table a few years ago with a black top. constantly small pieces of the black finish are sticking to my clear plastic folders with documents inside. plus 2 of the legs do not lock closed. thats what China gave me
I like to make quilts and needed a big table space to support the quilt while sewing, but any table would do that. I like this table because I can adjust it down to compensate for the height of my sewing machine, which sits on top of the table and is therefore higher than normal. Then, if I need to use the table to stand and cut out patterns and material I can adjust it to a standing height so I don't have to bend over and make my back hurt. When I first saw the adjustment bars I thought it was going to be hard to make changes but it is very quick and easy. The other thing I really like is that it is very sturdy and doesn't "shake" when sewing like some other folding tables do. My only disappointment was that the top has some texture to it...not much...but I would have preferred a totally smooth finish.
