Aesthetically it is very pleasing to the eye; it has everything I was expecting from the pictures. I do wish it didn't have the black bolts (or more specifically bolt covers) showing in the seat back as it contrasts and slightly takes away from the lovely curved wood grain, but I knew this when I purchased it as it shows in the pictures. I just expect that it's what you get for a lower cost. I've had it many months now and I find it very comfortable, surprisingly so, especially given that mid-century modern design doesn't always lend favorably that way. It's sturdy; my 5-yr old plays in it (more often than I'd prefer) and it's held up well. The walnut veneer is a good match - I have a walnut stained desk and they compliment each other nicely. Overall I'm very satisfied and recommend the purchase.
For years, our family had high-back black basic computer chairs. They were functional, but I hated the look of them. My husband finally relented to giving them up (yay!), so I looked for something lighter to update the room. I ordered this chair in white. It has a very slight cream tone. Not noticeable against other colors, but it may look dirty against a pure white desk. It is comfortable for sitting upright. Probably not suitable for hours of gaming or as an 8-hour/day work chair. But for casual use, this chair meets our needs wonderfully. The simple arms lighten up the whole look, and the overall effect is sleek and updated without being too mid-century. In fact, I loved this chair so much I ordered a second one!
This chair is the best of mid-century style with comfort and ease. It takes 20 minutes to put together. The walnut is beautiful and the leather is soft. It's a steal at this price.
