Having used the command products in my office and home it is now necessary to maintain a constant supply of both hooks and hanging strips. Having used the strips on a "frame wall" I refuse to put a nail into my walls any more. The frames hang and stay straight, and the strips are a cinch to use.
I received this product as a free sample. I used it to hang some picture frames in my office and they work great. Holds well and saves me from having to put nail holes in the wall.
I have a huge wall covered in expensive art that is professionally framed. Everything is hung with command strips because I didn't want to mess up the wall with a ton of holes. Generally I use twice the recommended amount of strips per picture, and always follow the instructions. As I was sleeping this evening, I woke up to a loud and quite scary bashing sound. Only to discover one of my pieces has fallen off the wall and shattered. Time to take my art back to the framers to be repaired. I'm disappointed in the command strips at the moment and also very nervous that more of them are going to fall...might be time to figure out an alternative plan!!
It took me and a coworker about ten minutes to figure out that you have to hold the lever down and slide the arrows left or right to lock/unlock....works great! Just hold down the lever folks
