If you read the poor reviews for this item it is by people whining about why their $1,000 chair at work is better than this one. I have the predecessor to this one which lasted 8 years. One of the arm rests has rubber that is now fraying again but it's still usable. On the chair the screws under the seat need tightening occasionally as do the arm rests. The armrests are very slightly wobbly but not really noticeable unless you want to think about it. I find the lumbar support is fine for most people and it can be a matter of preference as to whether it really goes low enough. If you're 5'2" and under then you should consider that many items may not be fit exactly for your size. I can say that my friends who are 5'4" say it's fine. The mesh is relaxing, breathes easily but does need to be dusted and vacuumed if you're in a room that gets dusty. It will accumulate dust. The head rest is also fine. Uncomfortable? don't know what that means in this context. Has a small pad for the base of the head. However I can see it getting challenging if you are around or less than 5'4" or so because of the chair height. It has some adjustments but not the high power adjustments like angling the back of the chair forward or back. It is very comfortable to sit in the chair for many, many hours once you have it set right. Leaning back is nice and supportive. But it is not a reclining lean as many wish to have, just supporting your head when you want to push back a little. For the money, it's a fantastic chair for a home office.
I bought this chair while we were renting a house in Florida. (The furniture in the rental house was TERRIBLE) I ordered this chair and it is great, I used it in the living room to watch TV and then would roll it to the dining room when using the computer. (was able to fit in into the car and brought it home) My husband and I are late 60's and our weight is about 230. Love this chair
This chair is made from high quality materials and was easy to assemble. It is lightweight with the mesh upholstery and works well. It is comfortable and balanced and glides like a dream. Purchased for a heavy man (240#) and it works well for him. Hoping I get to sit in it, too. Although it feels like a big chair overall, the fixed (not adjustable) lumbar support is the perfect curve. Arms are adjustable in height, but not width. I like the gray color in my home office in the kitchen -- less stark and more stylish than the basic black. It looks really good with my stainless steel appliances! The price was a little higher than I would like to pay, but I have watched cheaper chairs fall apart in one year. This one should last!
