so far so good! finally able to toss my old clunker office chair that was well rated but did not stand up to regular use. decided to upgrade. this is much better quality, adjusts more easily and is lighter and more solid at same time! if it lasts and lasts, that will be the true test. i do like.

  • Excellent Heavy Duty, Ergonomic, Office Chair
    Verified Purchase

Excellent heavy duty ergonomic office chair. This chair will fit the average person but will also fit larger than average. I am 6-3 and 280lbs. This is the only chair I could find that would fit all of my needs in this price range and I looked for months. The key factors for me were; heavy duty construction, chair height, chair width, adjustable arms, back height, headrest, ergonomic.

  • Most comfortable office chair
    Verified Purchase

Very comfortable chair designed to provide complete support for larger people, but just as comfortable for smaller ones too. It arrived completely put together, except to place on the stand. Many adjustments can be made to suit your comfort. Would highly recommend this office chair.

  • This is a GREAT chair!
    Verified Purchase

There was NO doubt that this chair was unlike any other chair that I have ever owned or sat on from the moment I first opened the carton. Please note that this chair weighs in at 90 pounds shipping weight and that should be the first indication that it is well built. Assembly of the chair was effortless, however it did required the assistance of my wife due to it's weight/bulk. She assisted me in lining up the chair body to lower onto the cylinder after inserting cylinder into the chair base. That is the entire assembly process excluding the addition of the headrest. My chair was missing the headrest for some reason but is being shipped to me as I write this review. Three small Allen head screws need to be loosened to install the headrest, which would normally arrive in the back of the UN-assembled chair. I was very deliberate and methodical in my search to find a great quality chair because I suffer extreme coccyx pain and after 3+ years of it I had to find some relief. But I also have short legs and I was pleased to see that this chair is supposed to be adjustable between 16 and 21 inches. I calculated that an 18 inch height would be just about perfect for me to be able to sit all the way back in the chair and to be able to place my feet on the floor. I can't get it anywhere near 16 inches in height. At it's very lowest setting my chair is 20 inches off he floor and so I will need to find something to place under my feet. NO big deal. Oh, and by the way... upon calling the Nightingale Company direct I found them to be friendly, professional, accommodating and very much proficient. That alone means a ton! There are several different versions of this chair or that are very similar on the Nightingale web site and it can get confusing. I thought that I was getting arm rests that would "toe" in and out but my model does NOT in fact have this capability. The arms DO adjust up and down and they will expand so as to allow additional room. I wish that the arms would "lock" into place once expanded as it is very easy to push them back in while sitting down. Perhaps I will become accustomed to this in time. This chair is NO DOUBT an expensive piece of furniture, a ridiculous amount of money I suspect some would think. I used to think that way too. But after being in discomfort for SO long I have changed my way of thinking and now realize that buying a quality chair such as this is actually a means of improving my overall health and well being. The cushioning of this chair is first rate, like memory foam or the type of stuff they use in those huge pole vaulting mats. Extremely comfortable and it bounces back to it's original shape quickly. I haven't bottomed the cushion out and I am a big guy! I would DEFINITELY recommend this chair to anybody. If you are experiencing tailbone pain this is a superb chair. If you are young and fit and have no pain this might seem like an unnecessary indulgence but in reality I'd call it a preventive measure. It sure will make time at your computer a lot more enjoyable. And while expensive at first glance... I'm NOT rich, either., it's an investment that is going to last for years. I quit smoking eight months ago and have saved some pocket change. Best decisions I've ever made!
