I purchased this set since I travel frequently for my job. The wheels make them wonderful! I am an over packer when it comes to trips. I was able to push the large suitcase with one hand. It saved my back much pain! It was great. The only negative is that the wheels are made of plastic and probably won't last as long as I would like. There was little airport damage on the case when i returned home. Overall a good buy!
Pros-Very light weight and super cute. Wheels are great. Cons- I miss having an outside zipper pocket to put things in you want easy access to. Also once you put toiletries in the small case, if it is very heavy, it causes the roller case to become top heavy. It makes it unwieldy. Lastly, there is a plastic covering over all that was annoying to remove.
I bought 2 sets of luggage from Traveler's Choice. The 2nd set was the "Rome" 3 pc in silver for my husband because he thought these colors were too girly for him. We were very happy with both sets of our luggage. I purchased this set in the Arctic blue. It's a gorgeous blue and is true to the color in the photo. The zippers are thick and slide smoothly. During our trip, I noticed there was one spot where the zipper would catch on one of my pieces. In fear of the zipper head just popping off the track, I just zipped up the left and right zippers to meet at that point to prevent the zipper from messing up altogether. There was a plastic/chemical-ish smell to the luggage, as pointed out by other reviewers. I forgot to air them out for a few days as they recommended, but it was too late, as I realized it when it was time to pack. The smell never transferred to our clothing. I love the spinner wheels. They were a piece of cake to move around and the handles felt sturdy. One of my cases got dinged/dented from a heavy object, but it popped back to normal. It did leave a white mark on it where it flexed, though. I like this set over the "Rome" one because of the interior pockets and zippered pocket on the inner flap. Those pockets really come in handy.
I took two of the three pieces on a cruise this summer. A couple of things to note; first you must air out the suite cases as they have a horrible order, I even packed my clothes with a fabric softener sheet to help tone down the plastic order. Second, because it is plastic, a very durable plastic it seems, the manhandling of the airlines put dings on the outside which in turn created snagging sharp protrusions on the outside of the bag. You can fit a bunch of clothing and other items in each piece. The biggest one can easily fit more than the alloted 50 lbs. of clothing weight in it. The bags handle very well, the wheels are great. I had the most luggage of our group but seemed to manage it better than the others with less.
