I purchased this set several years ago and it has withstood baggage-handlers, 4 trips from IL TO CA, 3 trips to NV & STILL looks brand new! I now use the small case for music CD's, player, Over the ear headphones, etc. Everything in one neat pkg.!! Purple was also EASY to spot on arrival among all of the black luggage!
At first when I opened the box, I was pretty disappointed. The color on the luggage was nothing like the pictures and it already appeared scratched. Then I noticed there was a slight piece of film coming off of one of the bags. I pulled on it, and an entire piece of film came off. Apparently you are supposed to remove all of the film, but there are no instructions with the bags, so I was not aware at first. It is not obvious at all. Once I got all of the film off, (which took forever!) the color on the bags are perfect! They look very quality and seem like they are durable too. The other thing that I was frustrated with was that there were also no instructions on how to unlock the 1st bag which was housing the other two. There was only one tag on the bag and it said nothing about unlocking it. So I had to call overstock customer service and get their help to open them. You have to set the code to "000" and then push up on the lower button. Obviously you wouldn't know that unless told. Once I got the 1st bag open, then I found the locking information inside the 2nd bag. So my only complaints was that the Kensie Brand did not provide instructions on how to unlock the bags, did not provide a key in case I would like to use that function, and no note was made about the film needing to be removed. But in regards to the luggage themselves, they seem great so far! :) Hopefully this review will help other people avoid the frustration I initially experienced.
These are certainly easy to tell apart when we are gathering our luggage at the airport. The downside is the handles wrapped material has come apart from everyone of the cases. So, the bare metal band is completely exposed which is rather painful to manage. We had to get some cushioned velcro wraps for the handles so we wouldn't pinch or cut or hands anymore.
You will not believe how many compliments you will get carrying this luggage around. People stopped me a lot as I moved through the airport. Durability is still a question mark. The luggage, after the trip, was scuffed which I was able to wash off, but the back of the luggage was scratched. There is also an adjustment to hard-sided luggage. I'm used to having pockets on the outside of luggage for tickets, snacks, etc... but hard-sided luggage has nothing, so you either have to carry something else or open the smaller case every time you want to access something. I'm not sure I'll opt for hard-sided in the future.
