The bag is as lovely as the picture and very well made. I have very stringent requirements for a bag--interior sleeves for pens and cell phone, a separate section for a wallet (in this bag, there is a a divided section plus a flat, zippered pocket), a large interior space for files and laptop, and, for security reasons, the whole thing needs to zips shut. And a handle drop of at least 11 inches (this one is 11.75) so you can get the darn thing on your shoulder, even with a coat, with one hand. (What is it with all these large bags and totes that have such short, dysfunctional handle drops?) Bingo with this bag. The only box this one didn't tick is exterior pockets for either a coffee/water bottle and glasses. But that would have definitely ruined the look of the design, and it's definitely an attractive looking bag. Would definitely purchase again, even without the exterior pockets. Some notes: (1) This is a structured bag, and that took a small amount of time to get used to (I was used to more flexibility and feeling free to toss a bag onto the passenger seat of my car). (2) the length of the interior space is a good 16 inches, and so it can squeeze in a laptop up to that dimension.
I waited a while to post a review on this as I wanted to see how well it would hold up. I am SUPER picky about my work bags regarding number,, size, and functionality of compartments, and tend to go through them fairly quickly as I use my work bag daily, in all kinds of weather, up and down curbs, etc. So far, this bag has really impressed me. It has larger wheels than my last bag which helps keep everything dry when rolling through puddles and snow. The extendable handle is sturdier than most, another plus as one of my prior bags handle had twisted, and remained bent. The compartments are generously sized. My 17" Dell lap top, an older heavier model 2011, fits well, with no signs of the padded compartment ripping/tearing with use. I can easily fit an 7" stack of files (vertically) in the roomy back compartment along with my lunch/dinner, power cord, & mouse. I suppose other people use that for clothes as an overnighter. I work 12 hrs/4 days/wk so I pack a lunch/dinner. The front compartments easily hold all of the other stuff, keys, cell phone wallet etc. This bag has not let me down in regard to durability or in it's ability to handle all of the stuff I need to work everyday. The price was fairly reasonable too. I had bought a rolling work bag from Staples for $100 and it was garbage in no time, so this was obviously a much better deal.
