I bought this for my son last year when he was a fourth grader and it still in excellent shape. Worked great for him on the plane when we traveled this summer. ISo glad I bought it!

I like the sturdy fabric and the reinforced base. It's easy to maneuver for my 8 year old. However the handle mechanism seems flimsy. The zipper is of good quality, but the fabric around it sometimes gets stuck in the zipper. I did expect it to be a lot bigger inside, the handle compartment takes up a lot of room. My son loves the bag and I would buy it again.

This pack is the best made backpack for kids I've ever come across. It is heavy, but we had no intention of having our son lug it everywhere anyway, that's what the wheels are for. Pros: Big handle on top for grabbing real quick to shove in the car. Rugged design stands up to daily use. Better quality wheels and zippers. Actually stands up like it's supposed to, even filled. Cons: It says "children's" but I would clarify it's more of pack for a teen because of the handle bar for wheeling, even adjusting it is not really a good length for a younger/shorter child. When measurement comparing it to our son's old pack, it seemed the smaller school bus one wouldn't be enough space. Turned out it would have been plenty and more for appropriate for his height. These packs just have more room even though the measurement might be the same as a cheaper pack. All that said, it's a great pack that even though it's "too big" for him, he still uses daily and refuses to give it up.
