  • Not durable = not eco-friendly

I bought this set in late 2009, and as of late 2011 all pieces were broken. I cannabalized the wheels between the pieces (I realize that wheels are quick to go with most luggage), but now there are large cracks on all of the hard plastic surfaces. This isn't just from extreme baggage handlers. One time, the smallest suitcase merely fell over after being bumped, and it landed on a hard floor. The fall caused a large crack appear on the front surface. The suitcase wasn't overloaded at the time of the fall. I am all about eco-friendly products (that's why I bought this set), but if it doesn't last more than two years, it's just not eco-friendly. Two years of use is not acceptable.

We received the luggage and it looks nice, maybe a little thin on the shell material. I used the midsize, which held everything for a 3 day business trip easily. It rolls beautifully, not as easy on carpet but you can run yourself over on hard floors! I tried to stuff it with my pillow on the way home and it looked like it was pulling on the seam a little, but did not tear. It is a beautiful color (red) and it should be easy to spot on a baggage turnstyle. No name tag holder, but has a lock provided. We plan to use it next month on a vacation to the Dominican. We will know a lot more after that trip. Looks good for now!
