Love the hard sided case - perfect for carry ons, holds more than you would think, and always slides right into the overhead bins without a problem. Everyone in our family got a different color so it's easy to tell them apart, and everyone can manage their own suitcase throughout the vacation. The big problem (and it ends up being a deal breaker) is the wheels. The very first time we used these we had to walk 1/4 mile to catch public transportation to the airport. By the time we got to the airport, 2 of the 5 cases had wheels that were so damaged you couldn't tilt and pull the bag any more - unless the case is upright, you are literally dragging the case through the airport. This was after walking down a regular sidewalk for 1/4 mile...not cobblestone or an unusually uneven surface. I can't imagine the frustration if we had been on a tour where we were moving rooms day after day and had to drag these along. Overall, I wish I had just put in the extra money and purchased a better brand with more durable wheels.
I walk a nearly a mile from where I park to my office. After months of slinging my traditional laptop bag over my shoulder, I finally gave in a bought a rolling bag. Best decision. This bag is really great. Its very sturdy and stable. I was worried it might be wobbly like a rolling suitcase in the airport, but Ive had no such issues. I can easily fit my laptop, charger, notebooks, glasses case, compact umbrella, the rain cover that it comes with, and usually my heels. Ive had it for about 3 weeks now and have gotten a complement on it almost every single day. In the end, I would totally recommend this bag.
When I purchased my 17" laptop, I didn't realize how bulky and heavy it would be to travel with. Well, this case has been the answer to my prayers. Because it has wheels, it is very easy and convenient to take my laptap whenever I want. Also, there is enough room for all the accessories that go along with the laptop, i.e. cords, mouse, etc. The case also has an extra zippered space which you can put enough clothes in if your are traveling ovenight and don't want to take this case and another large suitcase. Another nice feature is that the wheels detach and you can either carry the case or use the shoulder strap. I can honestly sat that this item hs been a real back saver!
I bought this briefcase for my wife. She wanted a nice looking case on wheels because she carries a laptop and several other heavy items. She is very happy with this case and really likes this case. The leather is beautiful and there is plenty of room to carry all of her stuff. She has received many compliments from her co-workers. I can't give it five stars, however, for one reason. The telescopic handle is very flimsy. Frankly, I would be surprised if it doesn't break within a year or two of daily use. I would urge McKlein to use a higher-quality handle, even if it raises the cost of the product.
