Very simple I order this bag last year 2x for my 11 year old boy and it broke within 2 weeks both of the bag. I also never got the time to return the broken one because of my busy life. Totally regret spending the money on such a bad item. thank goodness that I love overstock, the customer service was great but I never bother to return this item.

  • Broke in no time. Sad kiddo!

Well, that took about 4 school days to break. My kid is in 6th grade and only weighs 63 lbs. He has been complaining of neck and upper back pain from all the books he has to carry, so I figured this was the perfect solution. But, this product perfectly SUCKS! The handle is very cheaply made and bent very easily.

We have a food ministry with elementary age children in our town. We've used CalPak backpacks for over 2 years, and ordered new backpacks in the fall of 2011 to add to those we've been using. However, the backpacks shipped to us have almost all broken, with the handles coming off, no longer retracting or sticking in the down position. We are looking for 18" backpacks with enough strength to take a weekly trip with elementary age children, and continue to use some we started with over 2 years ago. What happened with these?

My 11-year-old son liked the backpack (plenty big, rolls well) - but the handle broke off three weeks after he started using it. We won't buy again.

The unit is easily manuevered when towing it by the handle, which has two heights it adjusts to. I can almost put the pack under the seats on both the bus and train I use to go to work. While spacious, I made a small error in the size, and should have gotten the next larger size, but that was my error, not a fault of the product.
